Guys let's not forget that Brazil was elimiated in the U20 tournament and Venezuela was one of the best teams for a while. My point is that we need to stop considering these youth teams to be consistently as good (regarding their respective age range) as their senior counterparts. Hell the worst expected teams could advance while the best expected teams could fail.

the extra spot was already there, in theory, as Peru was the original host. But Brazil has a better shot at going into later stages.
Hence it can go in our favor if the host gets one of the top spots thus opening more for us if they do make it to the next round without issue.
