My recollection of the violence in the 70's was that it was predominantly fan-on-fan attacks. I witnessed plenty of them, sometimes too close for comfort. But I can't recall any fan-on-player attacks. That doesn't mean they didn't happen (I'm sure someone can find an example) but I'm pretty sure they were quite rare, compared to the warring that went on between the rival gangs, er supporters.
I'm sure you can find this clip on YouTube: Match of the 70s the 70-71 season. Particularly Leeds Utd/WBA. WBA score a goal that looked offside and all hell breaks loose at Elland Road. They close ER because of it.
Living in England is depressing as fcuk Brexit started all this bulls hit insociety here and more open racism and aggression Anyone here fancy paying for my family to move to los Angeles? Preferably near a hydroponic shop
Whenever I have a conversation about Brexit, even with masters students no one really understands what the EU is, what an abdication of leadership having that referendum was.
I'd evaluate the cost of living. You don't get much bang for your buck on the coasts. Come inland, you could live like a king.
Someone pay me, I could entertain you and my step son will soon be 11 so can start working a proper job and pay his way Maybe Hawaii would be better?
Sorry. I hope that didn't come off as LA-bashing. It wasn't intended as such. I just found LA to be a mildly surprising pick - given any city in the US to chosen from - not that it was an awful one. One from Indiana probably won't do well to associate secondary options with criticism in areas like this.
Idk - I've only been to Dallas and Houston. They're really sprawled out (have to drive everywhere), but it rarely rains, and there's a fair bit to do for locals. Both cities suck for visitors, but they're good places to live. Low cost of living is really underrated, IMO.
I get the appeal of LA: you see it on TV a lot, the weather is amazing year round, and there's a ton to do. Someone who hasn't researched options wouldn't think of some of the drawbacks: 1. The traffic. ZOMG the traffic. Atlanta traffic is bad. Chicago traffic is worse. LA traffic is the apocalypse. 2. The relatively high cost of living - it's not the bay, but it ain't exactly cheap either. I'd suggest Phoenix to biggie, but he might die in that heat.
Chicago traffic is fine unless you live in the suburbs. And I don't know why anyone does, because the Chicago suburbs are soul-sucking hellpits.
Been to SA several times for work and vacation. It's a great city to visit over a weekend, maybe a week or two visit at the most, imo. One of my college buddies lives there and totally loves it. There's no state income tax in the state of TX, where CA has the highest, so that should definitely be taken into account. Your money will absolutely go a lot further in TX than CA. If I were looking at the prospects of moving to San Antonio myself, I have a feeling that I might get bored of it after a while. Doesn't seem like there's a lot to see and do once you've seen and tried everything a few times. I would seriously look down the road at Austin, TX though. That area is pretty awesome.
I lived in the city for a year and Morton Grove for a year. It sucks to live in the city with kids, and we needed the space. Plus, a lot of people work in the burbs. Chicago's suburbs are a lot better than the suburbs of many other cities: lots more to do, and way better public services and facilities. The public libraries alone put anything in Atlanta to shame. Traffic in the city, in my opinion, was way worse than it was in the suburbs.
LA has the beaches and wonderful rock climbing in several areas, but there's so many other options to choose from in the US for my hobbies. Myself personally, I'd not mind living in Chattanooga. Lots of great outdoor stuff to do and a cool little town. Plus a local footy team to watch. I'd consider the Pacific Northwest but the cost of living is insane now. A bunch of people I know who are having kids are now relocating to the suburbs for that reason. Living in any city I think is tough for raising kids.
Depends what you are looking for in a place to live really. Climate, Hobbies, Jobs, cost of living are major considerations. Also what standard of living you expect or demand will decrease options. Lots to consider. Especially if you think of it as each state is like a country in europe.
I’m only a courier as well so it’s just a pipe dream But England has gone down the shitter bad recently
So...Zidane has been rehired as manager at Real Madrid. I have a strong feeling he won’t have anything close to the success he had during his first stint there.
Did he get a huge raise? Maybe he was smart enough to realize they were gonna crash and burn and ducked out of there.
