Malawi vs. Mozambique Just got the news that Malawi have got the Chawinga sisters for both the games (Temwa playing in Sweden, and Tabitha in China). That turns the odd from very likely that Mozambique gets trough to likey or very likely that Malawi does. https://www.laget.se/KvarnsvedensIK-Dam/news/5903298/Temwa-Chawinga-lamnar-Sverige (in Swedish)
New coach for Malawi too, Abel Mkandawire replaces Maggie Chombo-Sadik. Fixture times here - https://www.womenssoccerunited.com/caf-womens-olympic-qualifying-tournament-2019-1st-round-fixtures/ The first game is on Wednesday (14:00 GMT), the east African matchup Ethiopia v Uganda. Uganda can call up Sandra Nabweteme, striker currently in U.S. college soccer with SWOSU, who might add more firepower to an already promising team. - http://www.pmldaily.com/news/2019/0...provisional-squad-for-olympic-qualifiers.html (Archived) Uganda beat Ethiopia in the 2018 CECAFA Cup, which was won by Tanzania.
https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=395309034533247 Namibia are in training, practising how to get nutmegged. Their opponents on Friday, Botswana, are in a pickle because the BFA's training equipment is late arriving at the camp. http://www.botswanaguardian.co.bw/sports/item/4085-bfa-addresses-women-s-boots-row.html
From the article.. "...Malawi rarely participates in qualifiers for international competitions. The She Flames last participated in the regional Cosafa Women’s Championship in South Africa last year..." As far as I can tell they never participates in any qualifiers for international competitions before. They have participated in the regional Cosafa Women’s Championship several times, but a apart from that nothing.

A couple of pre-match quotes from the Malawi camp: - http://www.cafonline.com/en-US/NewsCenter/News/NewsDetails?id=rmmFdZm8Iu1WynyBUbG/uw==
Malawi FA's facebook says: Malawi 11 Mozambique 1 https://www.facebook.com/FaMalawi/ But last two was on overtime, it was 10-0 after 45 min in the second half. And according to them "only" 3 for Tabitha, 5 for her sister. Somone seems to have missed that there was two T Chawinga scoring at full machine. Tabitha had assist on most of Temwas goals.
Can be mentioned that compared to when Chawinga sister last played with Malawi the big improvement in the scoring is from the rest of the team. They scored more today than they did in all the matches they played in COSAFA Cup 2017 combined, while the sisters is a fair bit from their combined numbers of that tournamnet. If Malawi had got all five Chawinga sisters playing in time, they would qualify with ease.
Malawi would play Kenya in the next round and would likely advance if the sisters are available. Then they would more than likely face Ghana in the third round. Nice little Cinderella story if they can get past Ghana.
Chad can come back from 2-0 easily, their women's team wasn't born yesterday. Well, the team did literally play its first game yesterday, but the Chadians have got this. THEY'VE GOT THIS The Algeria squad was published here, and the Algerian DZfootball site has posted some match photos. (DZ Football, Twitter, 4 Apr 2019)
