Tomorrow is apparently the first game of the season. Who else doesn't ********ing care? Please make sure to vote in the poll. Also what channel is espn the ocho?
I like, as of now, YOU have not voted in the poll. That speaks volumes as the level of interest in this game.
I will be watching because it is on national TV. I'm not sure the Fire knows what a TV is, I believe the think that everyone streams everything now. Fortunately, the Fire are playing the Galaxy so some of us folks can watch because, Zlatan!
I will watch. I'm not too optimistic about the season although I think they will be slightly better this year.
Actually on FS1 at 7 pm for those not comatose from all the Malört or wódka needed to stay warm these days. Good lord, how cold will it be for the home opener?
I think the Fire could be very good this year. However, there has been so little from the Fire (and, frankly, from all of us) about the launch of the season, that I cannot yet become even "mildly" excited. I will miss the first three or four home games, due to the idiotic scheduling. I like some of the moves the Fire made (adding Frankowski, dropping Gordon and soft feet). I am royally pissed about the contract extension to Paunović. I am annoyed Nelson Rodriguez still has a job. All in all, there are mixed emotions going into the season. Oh, and I have a cold, which never helps.
I'm a sucker and I hate myself. I'm so totally excited to see this game today and see if we've actually improved or not. The time of absurdity is upon us.
I looked at the extended forecast and it showed a high of 37 next Saturday. Ugh! For an old geezer like me, that's not good. I'll be watching as it's on FS1. But I refuse to pay more money to stream the Fire off ESPN. They ought to be on a cable or local TV station, so they can potentially attract new fans. Streaming seems to be just another way to get money out of confirmed fans. But it limits exposure. The Fire are the only Chicago men's pro team to currently not be available on widely accessible TV. I don't know how they'll do tonight, but I'll be supporting them.
I don't think there is middle of the road with this team. They are either going to be really good or really bad. Even Matt Doyle hinted at that in one of his previews.
Technically, yes. Gaitan and the Swedish guy aren't official yet and with Collier and Edwards' loan being official according to the league roster page, we're clean in terms of roster slots for this game. Next week should be a challenge though.
What should be interesting, is if we have any injuries to the core players. Considering we only have 23 players on our roster.
For those who don't use twitter. Some MLS First Kick numbers. #cf97 haven’t won an opener in a while. pic.twitter.com/FCuU77eoi9— Guillermo Rivera (@FireConf) March 2, 2019
