Well there is a little black on each side, that's because the phone screen isn't in the 16x9 proportion the broadcast is in. All the others do is blow it up, which means you lose some of picture when you do that.
Yes. I am wondering if there is a way to blow it up since I can do that with other video applications.
http://soccertvblog.com/england-tv/ says there's something different tomorrow at 10:00 A.M. Newcastle vs. Huddersfield will be on NBCSN. AFC Bournemouth vs. Wolverhampton needs Gold to watch in English but will be on NBC Universo. On March 2 at 10:00 A.M., Man United vs. Southampton will be on NBCSN and AFC Bournemouth vs. Man City will be on CNBC. West Ham vs. Newcastle at 12:30 P.M. will be on NBCSN, not NBC.
NBC has live coverage of a gymnastics event (before golf) that afternoon, in case anyone was wondering.
Hi, it seems that NBC Sports Gold Premier League streams are finally 60 fps in the iOS app. Unfortunately not (yet) in the Apple TV app.
I streamed it on my old underpowered windows laptop, on free hotel wifi, and it looked great... not a hitch!
Just streaming our live match on Gold using Roku. Using the NBC Sports app, which is their nicely unified player for both NBC & Gold content. But my big head scratcher is that my Roku remote buttons don't allow me to pause or go back a few seconds. Aren't they supposed to do that??
Interesting choice of announcer assignments today by IMG - Martin Tyler called the relegation battle of Southampton-Fulham rather than one of the title race matches featuring Liverpool and Manchester City.
Maybe just logistics for a midweek match. Tyler is based in the Southeast and now has another gig too -- https://www.theguardian.com/footbal.../martin-tyler-woking-commentator-coach-fa-cup
I have news that I figured somebody else would have said when I saw this topic had posts today. NBCSN has added Sky Sports News weekdays at 11:00 A.M.
Wow. Thanks. That's a pleasant surprise!! Wonder if NBC will stick with this longer than they did other ancillary content like the PL Review Show. [emoji6] Edit: or their own MOTD show... soon to be RIP?
One thing I've found out about Roku is the basic remote is somewhere near terrible. Apparently, they're really an "advertising company" (I saw that somewhere) as opposed to a video/streaming company. Those buttons at the bottom of the remote? Those companies pay to be there. Anyway, I've had to pull the batteries to make the remote function again. Another option is the mobile app which turns your device into a remote.
Logitech universal/smart remotes work with Roku. Not sure there would be any added functionality there, but an option.
Just watched Sky Sport News from today. (My DVR now records it daily) And I was quite pleasantly surprised to see a good round up of MLS opening weekend, with highlights from five matches. Don't know if they'll keep that up every week but in the absence of ESPN FC which has been off the TV air for a year or so, and with BeIN Xtra no longer a daily show, and the fact that their MLS coverage this weekend amounted to 15secs about braces by Morris & Bradley... Sky could become a new go-to footy news show.
