That's fair, but I'm operating under the assumption that Laimer already isn't in the preferred midfield 4. It's Forsberg and Sabitzer as the 2 advanced midfielders, and Kampl and Demme as the dual 6/8s. Kampl losing his spot might be more likely though, you're right, especially if results slide when he's re-inserted.
Kampl probably won’t be match fit for a full 90 until 2 weeks out, so Adams should get another start. Does Demme or Kampl ever play in a more advanced role? If so, Foresburg hasn’t been that great since coming back, and I could see Kampl / Demme being selected over Bruma, but not sure how good both are offensively. The other option is if they stick with a 4-3-3 that gives Adams a better chance with Werner and Sabitza in advanced roles.
Watching Adams lately I keep being impressed with his quick feet. The speed of play seems effortless for him.
I normally read the german related forums of the respective players. I have to say i am really impressed by the posters of rbl. They really like ta and are very excited to have him. Mckennie for example is being talked about how close of a pulisic number they can get from "the island" (england). Bvb talks about how cp is a dumpster fire and how they ripped chlsea off. Bremen doesnt give a damn about sargent and celebrates their 40 year old fir the future. My point is if you are looking fir a german team to follow give rbl a look.
Yes, but once TA has a bad game, that love affair will quickly fade. It always does. And let not act like American players are not on a tighter leash. That said, TA has shown well and I’m confident there will be more positive games than negative.
Yes! This is without question a high point of US youth development. We've currently got 4 players aged 20 or younger getting playing time and acquitting themselves well in the Bundesliga. That's never happened before. In fact, I can't remember when we had even one player 20 or under getting playing time in one of the top four European leagues. Has that ever happened before?
The Schalke forum seems to prefer keeping McKennie, as someone to build around, unless the EPL offers stupid money.
Haji Wright has also gotten time in the BL. Plus Weah at Celtic and EPB (Still youth national team eligible) at Holland. The sky is the limit for this new group.
While I agree that the current crop is very promising and it is unprecedented that so many players are breaking through at such a young age, I think that when making comparisons with the past it’s important we don’t lose sight of the fact that attitudes towards US players have significantly changed for the better, affording more opportunities for and trust in them. Hence, expectations should be tempered when trying to correlate club affiliation with national team performance for instance.

My only point is that these fans love the guy and only want to extend his contract instead of sell him.
Loved the intelligence of Adams' run but Donovan's was better. Waited for the defense to open up, split multiple defenders and weighted the ball such that it left Anichebe with very little to do. Economy of movement and perfect execution.

McKennie isn't really visibly "in-form." Like, you can tell that he's quality if you watch him every week, but his team is languishing and he doesn't really have any signature moments that you can point to. It's a compliment that he has been as good as he has been and he isn't doing anything spectacular. That suggests that there's a lot more he can do. Edit: kind of the wrong thread for that post but damn I'm excited for these two to play together regularly.
