I just got an email back from the DCU FO. They stated that the final details are still being worked but the new kit will be released before the home opener on 3 March,...well, no shit!
We are in the same boat here in Houston. The Dynamo FO has said nothing other than that the new primary jersey will be available for sale on March 2. Which is the home MLS opener but we have two CCL games before that.

Related, it sounds like the team might finally be selling the updated Zulily Home kits tomorrow at the friendly match however like it has been recently the proshop is saying AFATK they wont have them until after the event Monday night
Wouldn't be the first time a team released it on the day of the opener. Philly did that a while back to "reveal" the new away jersey after the players took off their warmups for the anthems. ...of course it had already leaked weeks before that.
I'm seeing some chatter that the new Houston Dynamo primary jersey will be announced on Thursday, February 21. There is a least one report that it will be based on this template in various shades of orange. We shall see.
Yep. @DynamicFoxtrot on Twitter, who has seen the new kit, has said that it will look very similar to this mockup I made, which includes that pattern: And that pattern was also on the Dynamo’s match pennant for last night’s CCL fixture:
That will be a whole lot of pattern for Houston this year if you include the keeper kit as well. Just enough something though for the home kit it looks rather slick IMO
If we follow our historic pattern get used to seeing it. Houston wears the primary shirt almost all the time. The black secondaries have cut into it a bit but Houston has worn the orange shirt 89 times in the 117 official games since the black was introduced three years ago.
Here’s a slightly uplayed mockup of the new Dynamo primary, with a couple minor changes based on some new info I received:
