Well Iran being out do you think that we are going to hear some official news this week if he coaches us or not?
translation to english of that interview. This is an excellent interview which helps everyone here learn more about Queiroz. Thank you for the link @kifrão I enjoyed reading this.
Oh muchas gracias @Doogs !!!!!

I must say that I'm starting to come around the idea of him being our coach, hope he takes us to the next level. Supposedly he will sign on Thursday and be presented on Friday. https://www.eltiempo.com/deportes/f...nminente-tecnico-de-seleccion-colombia-322562
I’m still against it. Makes as much as Pekerman, as old as pekerman, doesn’t know our style/players Based on the conditions rumored that he accepted. He is the closet thing to a Bolillo they could find that wasn’t Colombian.
He's a coach with vast experience and brings fresh ideas to the table, plus we have a good amount of players he can work with. The fact you don't like him, makes me like him even more. You're usually wrong in all of your analysis, so this makes me optimistic.
I am going to try and be optimistic here. The three things that I like about the hire is: 1) He is a totally new set of eyes. He will bring a brand new perspective to our futbol and to South America. He has coached in Europe, Asia, Africa, CONCACAF... ... he has seen it all and he has been through it all and he will give us an honest clean slate assessment of our talent from a totally different point of view. No favorite players. No bias. No preconceptions. He will look at players and evaluate them in his own way and see if they can produce within his tactics. 2) His teams for the most part seem very organized and know how to counter--attack effectively and cross the ball. If he can teach us how to do those thing even just a little bit better then this team can be very dangerous in tournaments. For decades we have struggled being efficient on counters and crosses. 3) He will probably have us doing some of the best set pieces in the region. I think Iran scored a lot on Corners and tiro libres. He will probably be licking his chops knowing he has guys like Mina and Duvan and Falcao to get the ball into the area to and have them head it into the goal.
Who would you suggest? One thing I like about CQ is that he put in 8 years with Iran and went through 2 WC cycles. So the guy knows how to manage a national team and knows how to create a system. There have been some critiques against CQ for being too defensive, etc. But I can’t judge him until I see what he does for us when he calls up his first few rosters and see who he highly regards or doesn’t place value. Remember Pekerman came in and re-introduced Teo, Macnelly and Aldo (to name a few) and essentially made Guarin a squad player and I’ll admit I was skeptical at first, but it worked. On paper, Colombia has superior players than Iran and several of our players are household names, so I feel CQ has more firepower to work with from an offensive standpoint. Most other managers are revolving door managers. Scolari, for example, has been a manager since 1982 - every team he has been with, except for Portugal (2003-2008), has been for 2-3 years at the most. Him and Gus Hiddink, for example, typically are hired guns to manage a team for 2 years and they’re off to “greener” pastures.
Everything the media was hating on pekerman for this guy has the same Exact issues. I would love to be wrong and for us to play great but for the $$$$ we should have a better coach.
questions: a. What are the issues? b. How do you know that CQ will be exactly as JNP? And the answers are: a. Most of the issues from colombian media were BS. b. You have no idea.
I'm sorry for all Colombian football fans. A cancer has entered your football. You will know what I mean in a couple of years.
You may not enjoy Queiroz’s brand of football at first, but if you trust his process and give him time, he will make Colombia invincible and a new golden generation of footballers will be born. With CQ in charge, it’s just a matter of time before you’re the highest ranked team in South America, easily surpassing Chile and Uruguay and consistently challenging Brazil and Argentina on the world stage. Mark my words and thank me later when my predictions come true. As a bonus, you’ll have a lot of Iranian fans too: http://www.persianfootball.com/foru...-will-you-support-Colombia-once-CQ-joins-them
Haha he will get confused when I saw Iran out there I was like they look Colombian. I hope he turns out good and I am wrong about him
So we have one guy saying he is a cancer and another saying he will have us challenging Brazil and Argentina. Somehow I think the real answer will lie somewhere in between.
