Would be pretty poetic (so it won't happen!) for James to help us win the Prem and then ride off into the Leeds sunset.
http://www.squawka.com/en/news/whic...dium=rss&utm_campaign=rss#byUEjSrEeLX5A3rL.97 interesting analysis of the status of top 6 clubs' contracts for first team squad. we're rated tops (9/10) for "future-proofing" the squad.
Exactly. Goal of the academy should be to get one player into our first eleven every five years or so. We've currently got that covered by the likes of TAA and Gomez. And every year have a kid or two (like Wilson or Woodburn) on the edges of the first team and being given a chance to make the step up before being offloaded (hopefully for a nice profit). Plenty of players seem to be rolling off the production line that will get a chance.
And German newspaper Sport Bild claim that Hudson Odoi and his brother – who is also his agent – met up with representatives from Liverpool at the start of January as they joined the race for his signature. The report adds that as well as rivalling Bayern for Hudson-Odoi, the German club are worried that Liverpool could also beat them to RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
I was watching the Dortmund match with Hannover ( they suck ) and I think Klopp ought to go after Hakimi. I'm not sure where Klopp would play him, but he's 20 and would only cost about 35M.
Who is new Liverpool signing Billy Koumetio? Everything you need to know about gem https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1078333/Who-is-Liverpool-Billy-Koumetio-transfer-news
Im displeased that in a title push year we actually weakened ourselves in the janurary window, instead of strengthening. I dont think we needed signings, but offloading players this winter has been a big mistake in my opinion.
Ben Woodburn is set to stay at Liverpool beyond this evening’s transfer deadline after being unable to secure a loan move
Exactly. The Clyne sale made Zero sense from a sporting perspective and he was very impressive thrown into the cauldron against United at Anfield after his long lay off and would have provided some much needed rotation for TAA at RB. Clyne starts Yday & Hendo in Midfield with one of Keita/Shaqiri and instantly Thats a Midfield which would have won us the match last night. I'm done talking about the match last night..Sorry Guys...Still MAD.
Liverpool deadline day transfer roundup https://tbrfootball.com/liverpool-deadline-day-transfer-roundup-adrien-rabiot-matt-virtue-and-more/
He likes to play, so given that he won't be starting nearly as often, he might leave, but given his fitness levels he might see himself having a few years left which would allow for maybe one more (largely non-starting) at Liverpool. He'll be missed when he does go. Great attitude....
Compare it to arsenal during the early through mid 2000's - how often did an english kid get into those teams....? Hardly ever ... We'll be the same. Unless a Gerrard or a Ferdinand shows up, the ain't gonna make it. Joe Gomez and Trent are exceptions....
He is also one of the most overrated footballers in top-flight history. And he is also the guy responsible for the greatest player ever not winning the world cup....
Fulham have submitted a deal sheet to try and sign Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic on a permanent transfer-Paul Joyce I've read that Liverpool will receive a fee of £1.7M
