Primer/update from @FrederickMelo, me: #MNUFC's ownership investment ratchets up — again — now to $450 million; Loons want to host Tommies/Johnnies football game at Allianz Field, but what about #MSHSL state soccer tournament games at the St. Paul venue? https://t.co/lgobBhmi0u— Andy Greder (@andygreder) November 14, 2018
Changes to #MNUFC season tickets from the season ticket holder newsletter today. 100% digital ticketing in 2019 and no ticket exchanges. pic.twitter.com/McvKVhivcR— Two United Fans✌️🗣 (@TwoUnitedFans) November 14, 2018
Hmmmm. Wonder if that means that if there's a match I can't attend that I can't give the tickets to a friend?
Paywall (if you don't have access, but you feel like I missed something below...just let me know and I will scour the article to see if I can find the answer). Q&A: MNUFC VP on the digital-only ticketing switch, Gold Cup and more https://theathletic.com/657152/2018...ly-ticketing-switch-gold-cup-bryant-pfeiffer/ Highlights (Q) What’s the advantage of immediately going 100 percent digital instead of easing people in or keeping an option to pay a bit extra to have a booklet printed and shipped like previous seasons? (A) There might be some people out there that don’t have a smartphone, which offers certain challenges from that standpoint. We’ll work with them to figure out a solution, and we’ve been researching what other teams do in those situations. ------------ (Q)The team also switched to having the secondhand ticket sales market go solely through SeatGeek. Why did the team opt for a captive secondhand market? (A) Fans will still be able to resell tickets, and that’s certainly one method of distribution. Otherwise, fans can transfer them. If you have season tickets and can’t make it, you find someone who can go, have them create a general SeatGeek account, and forward your seats to their account. It’s as simple as that. ---------------------

Hmmm...given the track record of the league office, I wonder if this is in the Gold Cup international break.
Which would make it the 3rd consecutive year we have to play a match during an international break with a depleted roster...because you KNOW Calvo is going, if no one else. Thanks loads, Don.
