DACA is not law. It was an executive order executed by Obama. Trump revoked it, telling Congress to do it legally by sending him a bill. Instead, it went to the courts. Last year, Trump gave Congress the chance to create the bill. It did not happen as Schumer got too greedy and pissed off the conservative Republicans. Trump again is giving Congress the opportunity to remedy the situation. But the Democrats don't give a damn. In fact, Schumer is ignoring it and is looking to get the continuing resolution passed by the House through the Senate. It will not pass and only opens the government through 8 February. So we go through this shit again? How stupid are these idiots?
From what was reported last night, there will be two bills. One is the House bill passed earlier this month that extends the government to 8 February. No wall, no DACA just the same old, same old. McConnell is to submit a Senate bill that basically is the Trump proposal from Saturday. Pundits predict neither will pass in the Senate (need the 60 votes). It will extend the government to the end of the fiscal year, 30 September. I am hoping that some Democrats on the Senate side can see that it is a reasonable proposal.
