With the current roster + Kappelhof, you still need a starting LB and a backup CB (and GK upgrade wouldn't be bad) and since Pauno likes 4-3-3... I'm assuming Collier, Mo and Del Greco will be shipped out. But maybe not Del Greco since he is a CB.... But I'm guessing No Kappelhof, Marcelo on as CB and Basti as CB .... ugh :-(
Edwards is listed as a dfender on the Fire's website, so this is my guess. We really need 2 CBs if Kap leaves. Otherwise, Basti and somebody will be playing behind McCarty and Adams/Bronico. Why does it always seem like we're 2 to 3 players away? (I can't believe I figured out how to do this on my phone).
I'm guessing a 5-4-1 is the most likely "formation" we will see . Your starting 11 is what I figured as of now, just drop Bastian back to CB .
Maybe Bastian can "float" a little into the midfield on occasion with Dax covering when need be. The defense and goalkeeper upgrades should still be a priority for the Fire.

Supposedly still in negotiations with Kap , also talking to two other CBs . I know Hector Moreno was pursued last summer . I've seen his name brought up on Twitter a few times. I don't think he is one of the CBs but that would be a solid signing . Are the Fire maxed out DPs and international slots? I can see Kap get traded to LA for Gio Dos Santos so LA can get back down to 3 DPs.
Then we would have 4 DP's, unless Katai becomes a TAM player. How much did it cost (transfer fee/salary) to get Frankowski? Is he going to be a TAM player or a DP?
It would appear that they are finally moving from the MLS 2-0 model. Moving straight Into the NASL 2.0 model, just import all of your players and forget about domestic development.. it’s just easier to figure out how to navigate around the rules.
