So Donald (The Art of the Deal) Trump, is going to trade DACA today, for $5.7 B to build his wall. The Dems offered him $25 B a few months ago, but apparently he was holding out for less money. That is some NINJA deal making for sure.

 

I applaud Trump for promising[] humane treatment to fellow human beings in exchange for a mere $5.7 B.

I was in a long distance drive when the story broke so I got a chance to flip through several news stations on XM radio in live time as it was happening. I did hear lots of disclaimers. I heard very explicit statements from NBC, NYT and other representatives that they're not running with the story as fact since they can't independently verify the source. In fact I'm pretty sure that I head the "if true" disclaimer specifically several times.

I guess we all hear what we want to hear. As a natural skeptic, I guess I've kind of trained my ears to pick up on little details like that in order to separate truth from opinion.

 

I wish I could flush this piece of shit down a toilet.

 

Can't wait for the fact checkers to get cracking on that speech... "some say crime will be reduced by 50%". Please. "Some say"; classic Trump b.s.

 

Excuse me, did I not explicitly include phrase 'with the caveat of "if true"'? It is the fact MSM outlets gave the Buzzfeed report around the lock coverage without any attempt to collaborate the story what is appalling. I mean it is not like Buzzfeed doesn't have a history for this kind of thing. Hell, we are talking about a source that is more noted for its cat videos than accurate news reporting.
