1st time I notice that 02-Irorere who plays cb for Frankfurt has been promoted to Frankfurt U19.
from August-Sept he played Frankfurt U17, playing 6 games
from Sept-present he's been with Frankfurt U19, playing 10 games

he's the rare 02 playing in U19 already along with Egloff and a few 02 GKs.

for Germany his only involvement has been U15 camp.

    From Oct 2018.
The German football cup winner Eintracht Frankfurt has extended the contract with young talent Felix Omoruyi Irorere until 2020.

The 16-year-old center-back receives a subsequent option to a professional contract, as the Hesse announced on Wednesday. Irorere, a 1.95 meter defensive player, is considered a great talent and played at 16 years already in the U19 of the Bundesliga. In addition to football, the talent born in France is currently aiming for the Abitur.

"Felix is a true Frankfurt boy, who has been playing with us for five years and is not only a great support for his team because of his height. He has all the prerequisites for a successful future, "says Armin Kraaz, Head of the Young Talent Center.

I wasn’t impressed with Musiala last few matches but god he’s like 15, not 51. Give him a last chance and see how he does. He seems rated in Chelsea

Divseification for scoring threats is the trend. U can see in many teams the real scoring threats are the wingers or attacking midfielders

That will be an ongoing trend of football. Instead of focusing on one scoring threat who scores half of ur goals, they wanna divide it to 3-4 players.

Like Salah for Liverpool, he might score more than Firmino (who in my opinion is a top modern forward). Firmino always drops back, involved in duels, in build up and in pressing. Then the “winger” become “strikers”

It’s all interchangeable and fluid. Even Real Madrid when Cristiano Ronaldo was there also played in a similar system

I think 3v3 n 4v4 encourages players to deal with duels and take-ons. The “position” Think should be forgotten but more focusing on the function of players.

In miniature Football, u can be a AM or A CF, it’s all about the skillset u trained and the ability to deal with one on one or one on two

I think the team wanna have more individual technical players in the team. And these 2003 are way way way more technical than 1997-2001.

    Maybe not even close

I don’t see Igor Matanovic is a must

I m also interested to see what Schafer can offer.

Mehicevic will be an AM under this circumstances, not surprised if he’s called he will be listed as midfielder. But as I said , it’s all exchangeable because they use a 3v3 or 4v4 system to train

No one is completely missed, I think we can see what Schafer n Musiala bring at least for the last time. I don’t see big deal about it

We have to focus on individual ability now as a big picture. Not just one position

And don’t write off Gianluca Schafer, rated highly by scouts has great individual technique and very very versatile

Can even play all attacking position like Borkowski

I can’t tell about his physicality yet. Too early to tell

that was my line about Musiala, I told you that your judging a 15 year old kid who'll only get better as he ages while you didn't care and look at how you changed your tune about him. And why a last chance? do you give up on players with such ease?

all your posts are always about the top clubs of Europe, you do realize that most 1BL clubs are nowhere near those teams, right? nor do they have comparable players.

well anyone who has seen the 03 play can see that they are more technical players than previous age groups. Well it's good that this lot turn 17 in 2020, so next year we could start seeing some breakthrough 1BL.

not sure why you keep making it seem like diversification of scoring threats is anything new or recent. No club only expects strikers to score (although that's their main function), they obviously rely on wingers as they are also attackers too. It's the job of the front 3 to score/assist and be involved. And AM too although you bring them up, I thought you saw them as obsolete position???

I'm not writing him off, but curious as to why such a player hasn't done anything for Frankfurt U17 and has been unable to breakthrough the U17 team either. What's up with that though?

if he was injured from Sept-present, doesn't make sense to call up someone who just returned from injury.

2 02 players who seem headed to the pros in future. Which are Egloff and Meyer.

Thomas Hitzlsperger trusts the two B-juniors to master the leap into the Stuttgart professional team in the not too distant future. "I rate it very high. They have talent and also bring the right attitude, "says the young VfB chief, who has been in La Manga since the beginning of the week. "The two are a bit more in focus than others, they know that too. But there is still a long way to go. "The wishful thinking at VfB is that home-grown pros do not just get a taste of what they're doing, but ultimately become regulars in the Bundesliga.

"It's the goal of every youth player to become a professional - otherwise you would not invest the time," says Lilian Egloff, who is named after the French former international Lilian Thuram. He comes from Bretzfeld and changed in the U11 from TSG Bretzfeld to VfB. For two years he has been living in the boarding school of the Stuttgart junior staff training center, which makes the driving unnecessary, and visits the Kolping vocational college in Fellbach, specializing in photography and media.

Egloff already convinces at the U 19
The attacking midfielder has made a huge leap in development in the recent past by adding a new dimension to his game. He has always decided on scores as goalscorer and preparer, but now he also works backwards, conquering balls. Therefore, he was at the end of the first round at VfB already raised to the A-juniors - and has also convinced in the U-19 Bundesliga. For a week he was even allowed to practice with the professionals and play two test matches with them. "I'm glad that VfB allows me to do that", says the jerk with the good shot, whose example is Lionel Messi: "What Messi does with the ball is not normal."

Jordan Meyer orients as a defensive midfielder at two other fine footballers. "A mix of Andres Iniesta and Toni Kroos is the style of play I think is best for a six," said the shrewd ball distributor whose mother is from England. "But of course you have to be realistic. These are world stars, we are still in the U17, there is still a lot to get to such a level. "Also training camp including German and physics exams.

Bennet Haffke and the hard way to comeback
Bennet Haffke was already very far for his age and played in the junior national team. Then his cruciate ligament ripped. Now the 15-year-old is on the way to a comeback. On Wednesday he was to performance tests in Straubing.

It happened about eight months ago. In a youth match between RB Leipzig and Dynamo Dresden Bennet Haffke remains hanging in the grass. "It cracked twice," recalls the 15-year-old. That he had hurt worse, he had felt immediately. And the fears should prove true, the shock diagnosis for the football talent was: cruciate ligament rupture.

He was in junior national team training and was at 15, although he is still playing U16, already planned for the Under-17 team of the Red Bulls. Accordingly, the injury was a big setback for him. "The injury break has already thrown me back in the development. But I am convinced that I can still come back, "he emphasizes.

sounds brutal, has been out injured for 8 months but seems close to a comeback. He was supposed to play for RB U17 as well up an age group this season. Still time for that though.

another RB U17 player who seems to have been injured all season is 02-Noah Jones.

00-Raschl got praise from Dortmund's director of football Zorc, from Jan 13.

Zorc praises U19 captain Tobias Raschl: "Will we keep an eye on him?"
Otherwise, the 56-year-old remained positive, also in relation to the traveling junior players. In addition to Amos Pieper and Julian Schwermann (both U23) also U19 player Tobias Raschl was allowed to train with the pros.
The 18-year-old defensive midfielder is team captain, regular and high achievers, but was missing a few weeks due to an outer ligament tear in the ankle.

"He is an interesting boy and we will continue to keep an eye on him," said Zorc, who is also aware of the interest of other clubs. In October, the picture reported a planned return action by Borussia Mönchengladbach. For the 'foals' Raschl played from 2011 to 2013, before he landed on BVB Fortuna Düsseldorf. However, a transfer seems to be out of the question, much more should the talent continue to develop in black and yellow.
    https://www.90min.de/posts/6270120-...ias-raschl-werden-wir-weiter-im-auge-behalten

with interest from other clubs and Zorc praising him besides Weigl/Burnic seem headed out soon enough. Does look like he could get his Dortmund 1st team chance.

-Geiger made his 1BL comeback today as he played 34 min off the bench in a 3-1 loss. Amiri who's also back from injury was unused bench player, so still no 1BL comeback. Although both made their comebacks in the last CL game for Hoff in Dec but just today for 1BL. Also same story for D.Otto as he wasn't even in the squad, it's been obvious for a long time that Otto is just a back up striker on the team, you need injuries/suspensions for him to make a squad.

Abouchabaka injury update from a week ago.

About four weeks ago, Shawn Parker (torn ligament in the knee) and Elias Abouchabaka (ligament torn ankle) injured, both fighting each day in training camp in Belek for back to team training. As Elias Abouchabaka and Shawn Parker join in part of the team training on Tuesday afternoon, the joy is clearly visible to both of them. However, duels are still taboo, so the two were only on the ball as a "free player" and yet this is of course a step in the right direction. "It's getting better and I'm on a good way," explains Elias Abouchabaka.
    https://www.greuther-fuerth.de/aktu...es/2018-2019/20190110-parker-und-abouchabaka/

looks like Elias is making friends with Parker as they are training together.:p
2BL starts again soon and Furth's next game is Jan 29. Seems like his availability by then could be close.

in some more - news, Mees is injured once again. Pretty much one reason as to why he's barely played for Germany youth.

Aue President on Kruger and lyoha.

BILD: Can you tie Düsseldorf loan to Iyoha to Aue?
Leonhardt: "We will get involved to keep him. Iyoha is a viable and young player. And he feels comfortable with us. Two or three more years in Aue would do him and us good. He has huge potential. "

BILD: Florian Krüger has also caused a sensation. Does Schalke have a repurchase right?
Leonhardt: "We bought Krüger in the summer. If we sell him again, Schalke has a say. Everything is knitted in our favor. "
    https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/...w-mit-boss-helge-leonhardt-59570074.bild.html

wonder about lyoha if he develops well in 2nd half if Fortuna would want him in Summer for next season? Just recently we were talking about African descent strikers. From 96-00, seems like lyoha and Akono are the only ones progressing well from that 5 age groups,

-not only did 16 year old 02-Adeyemi score vs Murcia U23 with Germany U17 he also scored while playing with his 2nd division Austrian club Liefering (RB Salzburg's reserve team) vs Austrian Bundesliga club LASK, in a 1-1 draw. Also LASK are currently in 2nd place in top flight.

his German buddy 00-Ludewig played a the whole 2nd half with the RB Salzburg team in an 8-2 friendly win. Good to see he's fit again.

do wonder if Adeyemi will jump to Salzburg 1st team in Summer? TM has him with Liefering only for 2018-2019 season and then onto RB Salburg.

-Czyborra made his 2nd XI for Heracles playing full game in a 3-0 loss vs Groningen who played Handwerker and Chabot the full game. Not only did the pair keep a clean sheet but their team is now getting closer to being midtable. Groningen were in relegation zone pretty much all the 1st half, until they managed to get the last safety spot before the Winter break and now they seem to be going up.

-Henrichs's situation looks terrible as a Naldo straight red in the 7th min got Monaco trashed 5-1. They are still 1 win away from getting out of the relegation zone, maybe needing a bit more. But they really need to up their game otherwise Monaco who did well in Europe and who are known for their youth work will get relegation to Ligue 2.

while Kehrer played full game as PSG trashed bottom of the table team 9-0.

00-Broschinski only played 25 min for 3rd Liga Cottbus and he scored the only goal/winner vs 2BL Magdeburg.

kid also scored a 2nd but it was ruled offside. Both teams had youngsters who played over the course of the game. Although Cottbus played younger players than Magdeburg.

Is Paul Glatzel Liverpool’s next breakout star?

Paul Glatzel is the auspicious starlet who is leading the line in a Liverpool youth setup that is brimming with talent.

Playing in a dual-headed attack in Lewtas’ 4-1-3-2 formation, the forward is flourishing thanks to his interplay with the midfield and his prolific partnership with Bobby Duncan; the striking partnership has notched up 23 league goals this season and has a resemblance to the audacious trio of Mane, Salah and Firmino in the senior set-up. Glatzel’s movement allows him to act as a critical link in Liverpool’s attacking plays by dipping into an almost talismanic role in the space between the three in midfield and the final third; with various first-time flicks and passes wrong-footing defenders to allow for an open attempt at goal, similar to Roberto Firmino in the senior squad.

The striker’s work rate is certainly inherent in his game as well – widely described an exceedingly intelligent and an infectiously industrious striker whose perseverance is shown by his ability to battle through two major injuries and establish himself as an integral player. His elusive darting runs behind the defensive line are archetypal for the teenager and his consistent pressing of the opposition defence in the final third which limits them to long route one passes is common.

Glatzel’s running in the opposing half also draws defenders out who swarm to mark him, allowing space for fellow striker Duncan to punish the opposition. Glatzel tessellates with Duncan in attack as a skillful, and often selfless, creator and finisher partnered alongside a potent poacher; attributing to Liverpool’s consummate dominance in the final third. Diligence and consistent energy can sometimes be a rare commodity among professional forwards, but it is certainly present in Liverpool’s blossoming youth.

Complementing his work off the ball, Paul Glatzel’s possessive efforts are much more explicit and impressive. The left-footer has certainly proven to make goalkeepers fearful so far this season, achieving an impressive 34% shot conversion rate in the U18s Premier League with, for context, senior goal-scorers like Mohamed Salah on a shot conversion rate of 19% (although obviously against much more experienced and higher quality opposition). The teenager’s positioning can account for this; allowing him to get into space inside the box to receive the ball and convert easily, although that’s not to say that Glatzel doesn’t possess venomous striking power from distance, shown clearly by his first European goal being a ferocious weak-footed strike in the 5-0 win over Napoli.

Additionally, the footwork of the Liverpool forward contributes to him being a handful for opposition defenders and allows Glatzel to find space for a close-quarters cross or pass or, just as easily, find an opening for a shot on goal. During Liverpool’s top of the table clash against rivals Everton in early November, Glatzel once more displayed his skill as he danced around a surge of jockeying defenders in the box to place the ball neatly in the bottom corner.

With an abundance of footballing youth and a scarcity of places for footballers in England’s top division due to the profuse competition, many young prospects fade into obscurity. Glatzel, however, is unquestionably an exciting academy talent to keep a lookout for. In possessing rather exceptional traits in his movement and clinicalness in front of goal; combined with an exceptionally motivated and driven mindset, the teenager exhibits exciting glimpses into the future of what could be a successful career.

my post is about African descent strikers not everyone together. If you compare Germany with England, France, and Belgium, we are a big busts when it comes to producing African descent strikers.

speaking of the overall list of 96-00 would be bigger if more players would be given chances or not injury prone.

just look at 96 group who turn 23 this year.
Werner, Waldschmidt, Platte (injury prone, wasted potential), Seydel (injury prone) and then you get Hanslik, the rest of 96 seem to be in 3rd Liga and lower. Hanslik hasn't been given a chance yet although maybe he'll make his 1st 1BL squad tomorrow?

    Just an idea

If u look at France, like Lacazette, Mbappe, Griezmann, Ben Yedder, Plea, Fekir And later generations like Gouiri and Geubbels ... all good talents or some even world’s best

But I think they aren’t suited to play as lone striker.

Will be better to play in a two-strikers system. Griezmann is a good example

I m looking at our better striker prospects : Werner, Teuchert, Jojo Eggestein, Burkardt, Dajaku, Paul Glatzel, Adeyemi, Thielmann, Pakia, Sieb or even Moukoko...

I think we can be better off and provide better firepower if we play with two strikers up top.

Maybe Serra, Arp, Kruger, Otto, Jastremski, Borkowski, Woltemade, Gedikli And Mekoma can play lone CF. But I think these are more flexible

If we play with two strikers in our formations, maybe more strikers can be benefited

I actually think Werner n Jojo Eggestein will make an interesting partnership up front

And both will find it hard to play lone striker if not playing counter. But if there are two strikers, we don’t need to have one who is physical to play duels against two CBs

my ideal partnership for now is Havertz/Goretzka as SS and maybe Werner CF, Werner needs support as a lone striker. Havertz/Goretzka as AM/SS can help Werner a bit so we will be playing like a 442 or 352

Jojo is composed and good at combination play. Maybe he and Timo Werner will make some interesting partnership. Pass n’ move

so your 1st list is guys who work better in 2 striker formation while the 2nd one is ones who can play solo? So guys like Gunther, Copado and others would all fit the 1st list.

I've always said if most of these promising 96-onwards strikers pan out, it would be very hard to just stick with only 1 uptop. Not just hard it would pretty much drift towards very wasteful.

Kuntz in U21 seems to play a lot of games with 2 uptop. Recently when Germany U18 (01 group) played vs Cyprus U21 and won 1-0, the coach played 2 upfront, which amounted to 4 strikers in the game, 2 in each half.

speaking of U21 not long ago Kuntz played Serra and J.Eggestein uptop together in U21 Euro qualifier. They played well.

I think next U21 cycle could be interesting for strikers between J.Eggestein, Serra, D.Otto (needs to start playing), Kruger and any other 98-99 that breakthroughs 1BL-2BL.

    looking at clubs
    Werner (RB Leipzig),
Teuchert (Schalke but injury issues since he went to 1BL)
    Jojo Eggestein (Bremen)
    Burkardt (Mainz)
    Dajaku (Stuttgart)
    Paul Glatzel (Liverpool)
    Adeyemi (RB Salzburg)
    Thielmann (Koln)
    Pakia (Dortmund)
    Sieb (Hoff)
    Moukoko (Dortmund)
    Serra (Kiel)
    Arp (Hamburg)
    Kruger (Aue)
    Otto (Hoff)
    Jastremski (Wolfsburg)
    Borkowski (RB Leipzig)
    Woltemade (Bremen)
    Gedikli (Bayer)
    Mekoma (Mainz)

Stuttgart also have Hottmann, Kramny, Hummel, Grimm etc
    Bremen have Ihorst,
    Augsburg Malone
    Freiburg: Daferner, Nieland, Pieringer
    Wolsburg: Herrmann

etc, long list as one can easily add plenty of other names to almost every club and a lot of others currently play for 2BL and 3rd Liga Academies, so more low profile.

well it's a good thing that Adeyemi and Glatzel don't play in Germany otherwise it crowds the competition. You already got a bunch of them that compete against each other and will block one another.Going to Austria, Swiss, Denmark,Belgium or Netherlands might be easier to breakthrough than in Germany. Although most German prospects seem very reluctant to leave Germany.

I think Gunther has good physicality for now, decent size at 183cm for a 15 year old

I think he will end up at 185-186cm, decent size for a lone striker. Wide shoulders and good frame

I even think Werner n Eggestein will make a good “pass n’ move” striker partnership

In the 90s, we saw Romario+ Bebeto or Massaro + Roberto Baggio which worked out quite well.

Romario And Bebeto won’t be nice lone striker, but individually they are both very good allround strikers.

Griezmann + Correa or Vardy + Okazaki (in their prime) are some better combinations in modern football. Apparently Falcao + Mbappe in 16/17 season was another pair of desvastating pair

Don’t think a targetman is a must, apparently it’s nice to have but not a must.

If, just if, our targetman can’t emerge for various reasons (injury is a big issue because they are generally heavy n more prone to injuries because their knees/ankles have more pressure)... we need to solve problems. We still need to find solutions

Even Mark Uth , does better in a 2-striker formation, than being a long striker. But if we are playing Werner together with Uth? Maybe we might see a different result

A physical targetman who can beat two defenders is always nice to have. But if we are playing with two forwards, our forwards just need to deal with one-on-one Instead of one-on-two, will be a lot easier for them

I start to see Akono getting improvements technically, will have his chance later I m sure. Since they now like to play Jesaja our wide, I think Burkardt, Arp n Akono will be the three strikers being called up
