I can't wait for the opening day. Our recent results show now Asia has big 6 (Qatar, Australia, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia and Iran).
No offence but since I'm following Asian football I've always seen promising results from Qatar in friendlies. Isn't it too early to conclude? Let's see what happens in the Asian Cup.
A general bit of advice for you, as well as a reminder for our longtime posters: we're all here for the football. With that in mind, we here are taking a zero-tolerance policy towards expressions of racism, sexism, discrimination based on sexual orientation, xenophobia, ad hominem attacks, insults (towards a group of people, countries, or fellow posters) and trolling. Infractions will get you booked - and if you ask where was your warning, this is it. If you see a fellow poster insulting you or a part of your identity (race, sex, nationality, etc.)? Don't respond in kind - REPORT IT. It is the fastest way for us mods to handle the offending posts. So, with that said, good luck to both sides, and let's enjoy!
Saudi & Qatar to qualify from this group. Saudi to draw NK and Qatar and get past Lebanon by a goal or two . Qatar will beat NK and Lebanon and get a point from KSA.
Considerng the level of our opponent, we have played the best football so far. North Korea is no joke.
Top 10 group stage performances 1 Qatar - 9 pts (+10 GD) 2 South Korea - 9 pts (+4 GD) 3 Japan - 9 pts (+3 GD) 4 Iran - 7 pts (+7 GD) 5 Iraq - 7 pts (+4 GD) 6 Jordan - 7 pts (+3 GD) 7 Uzbekistan - 6 pts (+4 GD) 8 Saudi Arabia - 6 pts (+4 GD) 9 Australia - 6 pts (+3 GD) 10 China - 6 pts (+2 GD)
Awesome - Qatar are improving all of the time, and they are in the easier bracket now to reach the final...
By the way, our wonderful striker Almoez Ali is just one goal away to equal Iran legend Ali Daei's single tournament scoring record.
What a pointless question.... Teams like France have foreign born players too. Anyways nearly 90 percent of our current players were nurtured by the Qatari football system.
