Not sure how long the contracts go, but I'm intrigued. Any good guesses/info/etc? Tbh, I'm not much of a gamer. I'm curious who we have next.

The recently defunct Burlingame Dragons (NPSL) had that sponsor. One of my favorite jerseys in American soccer.

My uncle works at Boeing (Renton? He lives near Issaquah). I wish that were a realistic sponsor, but how many of us are wanting to trade our Subaru Outbacks for a 737?

Sounders announce Zulily as their new jersey sponsor:

    https://www.soundersfc.com/post/201...ulti-year-jersey-rights-partnership-seattle-0

Of note is that the sponsorship is higher than that of the XBox sponsorship, but does not include the field, S2, nor Starfire sponsorships.

The reaction to the Sounders' sponsor being primarily targeted towards women seems to be universally negative so far. I look forward to the reaction when the Sounders announce the Black with Pink highlights jersey in February. ;)

Yeah, I can see the disappointment. Of note, I saw a JPG that indicated that the Reign has them as their new jersey sponsor as well. I know the Sounders have a women's team, but are they legally tied in with the Reign as well?

Although this sponsor does cater to women well, I'm a bit disappointed for he Reign. I liked Microsoft and Moda before it. But oh well. It's about money.

Somebody who I think was on Reddit was guessing f5 would be the sponsor. I love their logo but don't know much except they deal with apps (I think?).

Disappointed the Sounders have kept that splotchy green for one kit, apparently. And that they god rid of the retro-colored kit.

Yes, Zulily is also the sponsor for the Reign and Sounders Academy.

The Sounders Women team isn't technically affiliated with the Sounders. They and Sounders U23 (PDL) are paying a nominal fee to use the Sounders brand.

F5 is more known for their internet hardware (routers, firewalls, etc)

Jerseys are replaced every two years on an alternating schedule with Away being replaced one year and home the next. The retro kit wasn't very well liked since the Sounders seemed to lose every time they wore them.

So here's what I have to say about the new sponsor and the new kit. It's going to make me sound like a shallow, insecure sh!theel, but I believe in honesty.

I don't like the two together. I don't mind Zulilly on it's own. I don't mind the non-traditional, domestic, dare-we-say feminine font. Regarding the new kit, I like it. Pink doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I like the pink - I think Palermo looks rad and I think there should be more pink in kits.

    However... The pink, cursive, Zulilly.

It is too much for me.

I am not proud of this. It has made me realize that there is a reservoir of machismo in me that I was previously unaware of. This confluence of design and marketing choices has somehow tapped into that reservoir, and I'm not going to lie about it.

The silver lining is that, while I won't be buying a kit, I will be doing some serious self-reflection on my own gender-biases and self-image issues. So, maybe mission accomplished?
