Back in July, I made a pledge for 2 seats, which I would like to honor even though I am an SJ Earthquakes STH. So i have 2 questions. I tried to chat with the crew website, but I guess they are overwhelmed. 1. How do you order a 4-game pack? I don't see anything less than a full season on the website. 2. What are some ways to donate the tickets for a charitable deduction? Since I've never been to Ohio, I think we will try to attend one game. Thanks and congrats on having so much to look forward to!
You can call in to order them. Trent Scarbrough Ticket Sales Representative Columbus Crew SC 614.447.4273 – direct
I am also getting tickets to donate but the Save The Crew people are going to continue to use their Community Assist Program to handle these donations. At this point they don’t have 2019 set up but when they do they will announce the information and you can give through them.
anyone in his position has one hell of a job to do today. [Don't mistake that sentence for sympathy: His job was difficult today because he made it that way after many years of going along with mistreating this market.] Think about it. He could not throw shade at the league. or columbus. or precourt. or austin. or pretend like the league wasn't into the idea of leaving columbus. or act like they don't have full faith in columbus being great going forward. honestly, I can't think of a great, narrative set of talking points to draw within the above parameters. and from a purely "do your job" point of view, he did fine today. He even ate a bit of crow if you listen carefully. And Garber's goddamn right about at least one thing: Alex Fisher is a champion here. But most importantly, I'm really fvcking happy to hear him say dealing with us was "probably the most traumatic" experience he has had while commissioner. [around 3:45]
Sitting in that room today was far more traumatic for him than the years he spent planning to screw over the great city of Columbus. I hope Dee Haslam kicked his ass.
i assumed a youth soccer charity that would want the tickets? I thought every team has something like that. Guess I'll ask that rep Trent...
There's a week in May where we host the Galaxy on Wednesday and LAFC on Saturday. Seeing as how you're a Quakes fan, if you wanted to stay a few days and see some sights, I suspect you could comfortably cheer for the Crew on both May 8 and May 11. That said, no one would really hold it against you if you wanted to wait a year and come here when the Quakes are in town. (Presumably next year, though the home/away/east/west schedules have to change up some times when new teams join, as will apparently happen yet again next year.)
In that case call the rep. It seems many things were dismantled by the past regime and charity may have been one.
Totally expected. He had 3 years, did well in the first, but couldn't keep it going. Now, Tannehill got hurt in year 2, and sucked in year 3. I just didn't feel he had the je ne sais quoi to be an NFL coach/
