**Discount Drug Mart saves you the runaround, we've got everything Crew need** See I'm clever, I replaced the word "you" with "Crew"!
Three awesome Cleveland-area (I think these are all in Columbus to some degree or another) chains that I have a hard time explaining to non-Ohioans Discount Drug Mart Marc's Mr. Hero
I was kind of hoping for some business metrics in Garber's face today. He referenced Columbus being one of the stronger markets already in terms of sponsorship. But I wanted data. IM talked of 10 for $10 million. I wanted names. Is Wendy's back? White Castle (home of the slider!)? Cardinal/Ohio Health? AEP is nice. Ditto on ticket sales. Are we gonna ditch the SC & change the badge? Own a USL team? Got aTV deal in the works? Is Crew Cat back? What is the stadium timetable? Perhaps too soon. But I did want tidbits. Or at least a future date where Tim/Edwards/Dee fill in some stuff.
These are all things to keep announcing over the upcoming days/months to keep Crew in the news and keep generating buzz for the team.
Nordecke is effectively sold out... why didn't Bez mention it? So he can go on ESPNFC or somewhere next week to talk about it.
I don't know if much of anything can be confirmed re: season ticket sales yet. I bought 3 online on friday, but haven't yet received a call from a sales rep to confirm my order. My receipt says I should be called within 2 business days... but now we're ending the 3rd business day. They must be fvcking swamped.
So, do you think we get some of the issues at Mapfre (bathroom stalls, lightbulbs, etc.) fixed before the season starts?
I asked team president Tim Bezbatchenko if it is Columbus Crew or Crew SC. "Call them what you want to," he said. "The community owns the team...But we'll see. We'll see what's in store over the next weeks and months." #Crew96— Lori Schmidt (@LoriSchmidt) January 9, 2019
I don't know about any of this other shit but I'm going on record here: I love me some Dee Haslam. I'm pretty sure she could kick Don's ass if she felt like it. Brains, looks, class and tough as nails. She just owned that room and made it look effortless. I'm in love.
If I were a betting man (I am), I would say those things will be taken care of. Haslams and Edwards seem to have some pride in what they offer their customers.
As much as I pooh-pooh the arms crossed means something thing... he does look awfully unhappy in that photo.
