Robyn - Body Talk (2010) I know, I know, electro dance pop is not this thread's most popular genre of music, but if you are ever in the mood for it... In my opinion this is one of the best albums, at least top3, of the genre in the last 10 years.
Christmas With The Rat Pack - Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/christmas-with-the-rat-pack/945481943 EDIT: Just an interesting tidbit of.....something - Davis was born eight days ago (8th) in 1925; Sinatra was born four days ago (12th) in 1915; Martin passed away Christmas Day 1995.
I'm assuming the bookshelf speakers will be awesome with acoustic classical music, things that need clarity and depth of the soundstage image to sound good, but put on something with a much thicker "sound wall", you'll definitely benefit from an additional floor speaker driver to give that extra thickness to the mid Bass. For example: Meshuggah, Korn, Metallica black and S&M albums or even giant classical productions like Richard Wagner. A small speaker simply won't be able to create enough "thick" sound for you to really feel the music. Sure, you can tweak your subwoofer to cover some of those mid-bass frequencies to cover the bookshelf speaker, but you'd sacrifice a lot of clarity, display, and transient response.
