I’m remembering from when I lived there around 2009-2013. It’s just was nothing special at all. Fries on the sandwich, who cares? Uncle Sam’s (I liked the one is Squirrel Hill) was much better.

Last time I had it was 1993 or so. My sister lived near the Strip District which has changed over the years.

Lot's of Big and Pretty Words here, I feel part of the group now, I think I've been insulted by Bill Archer; (actually my wife) but I'm not sure cause you know...

(Don't worry Bill, I won't let her know your disdain.)

And just cause I think you secretly care about my stadium Boner list (places I've been)
    1) Ohio Stadium - it's my Saturday Mecca
    2) Rose Bowl - Beautiful location, incredible history.
    3) Texas Memorial Stadium - there for 1 vs. 2, great atmosphere.
    4) Yankee Stadium - but not for soccer
    5) Lane Stadium - Incredible party before, really loud during.

As you can see neither Mapfre nor Nippert make my "Boner list."
When Crew Stadium opened it was awesome being the only soccer specific stadium. I loved the dos-a-cero games, and the playoff runs. If we could keep it as our home I would be ok with that.
But the one soccer game I went to a Nippert, the atmosphere eclipsed just about anything I ever witnessed at Mapfre. I felt like I was back in the student section at a Buckeyes game. it was awesome.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mapfre was what I thought a soccer should have been 15 years ago. Nippert is what I think a soccer stadium should be now. And it's asinine to say it's not good enough. I know, I know, Garber's boys said make a specific stadium if you want in our club, and so they are. And it looks like both new Ohio stadiums will be top notch, so let's celebrate, instead of spouting off dribble.

So your wife is a hooker? Do you know what "du jour" means?

And the word is drivel. Dribble is what you do with a basketball . Just to save Timon the trouble.

    Good times.

So when are we going to get the discussion of geopolitics going?

Are there pigs in the trees?

Just to clarify, which seems to be necessary, I am not referring to anyone's wife here. Or any actual pigs, such as Arnold Ziffle . Or Babe, Porky or an officer of the law.

Although pigs in a blanket doesn't sound bad right now.

Who else could go for some flapjacks?

Let’s be honest. The only reason Nippert isn’t ok is because FCC doesn’t control the whole revenue stream for the stadium. If they did MLS wouldn’t have cared.

You read about as well as you write. And about as well as some other people here, too.

I did invite you, after all. Head on over! The water's fine!.

UC and FCC tried. At one point, I thought someone said MLS was fine with Nippert.

I think FCC ran the numbers, Mayor Cranley saw an opportunity to get an anchor that part of town. That part of town will change a lot in the next 10 years. Most of OTR is either redeveloped, under construction, or soon to be.

Might be shocking to you, but a few of us here are a little more interested in what’s happening on the field rather than watching what’s going on in the stands.

Give me a well maintained Mapfre for the next 20 years over Nippert any day and forever. One of the best pitches in the North America, great sightlines, and more history than your smug ass can possibly try to fabricate.

That sounds more like a You Problem than a Them Problem.

Celtic sucks. Rangers suck. Go have a pint, relax, and talk about your common suckitude. Or y'all can act like that one episode of Star Trek where the guy who was black on one side and white on the other and the guy who was white on the one side and black on the other were trying to kill each other. Whatever.

Apparently this guy thinks a city park should not be built with city funds:

1075370180421787649 is not a valid tweet id

Seriously, who should build a city park but the city? Does he expect private businessmen/women to just build huge public spaces for everyone out of the goodness of their heart?
