Pool fans ridiculing Mourinho shows how far he's fallen. www.espn.com/soccer/english-premier-league/23/blog/post/3727850/liverpool-fans-ridicule-shows-how-far-jose-mourinho-has-fallen A pale shadow of the manager he used to be. He's finished and I'm really curious as to who will shell out big money to get him after he leaves us. As previously noted, the Pool fans chanting loudly for him to stay should be a clear indicator for Woodward, who was there and heard those chants loud and clear, that it's time to act.
in truth the manager has failed in his task and should be sacked, whether sooner or later all depends on who the club can fill his shoes with
This is as bad as it gets for Mourinho. www.theguardian.com/football/2018/dec/17/jose-mourinho-manchester-united-defensive-dogma
If there is a way we are playing, football is flowing, I'd say whatever I ll stick to it. Or if we are seeing the likes of Tuanzebe given a shot or Pereira or Gomes or Chong, I'd say whatever I ll take it. But with Matic and shit...
I assume there is no plan. The January transfer window is coming up. We'll need a plan for that. I don't trust Carrick or Mckenna to be up for that. We certainly wouldn't want Woodward to be head of recruitment.
What exactly are we going to achieve in January, even with a plan? It's too late now. 4th is beyond reach. We need to look beyond January and into the next 2, 3 and 4 years.
Staying put doesnt help either. We may not be able to get 4th, but things could still get worse in the locker room and in other areas.
I do agree with Neville about the contract re-up What was the thinking with that? The guy was going nowhere, unless you take seriously the idea he would walk to a smaller club like PSG. But who cares? I really don't understand the contracts handed out to managers sometimes
Mourinho's cowardly approach show that he is a manager out of ideas. www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool-vs-manchester-united-jose-mourinho-future-will-he-be-sacked-latest-cowardly-ideas-a8686416.html
I get where Gaz is coming from, I really do. But the shit we see take place on the field, the drama with players, the benching and ostracizing of new signees, that is on Mou. Why is the old guard so hesitant to smoke out this guy when they were nothing but eager geezers to do it to LvG? It makes me sad when I am sitting here nodding my head at the Pool alum and shaking my head with our old boys.
From a tweet, but it seems true though £25m for a manager seems ridiculously high. “Cost of Sacking now Jose according to Recordsports is £25 million (full year salary). Costs of sacking him end of season is £18 million. Glazers holding out for £6 million.” If we really are spending 25m annually on a manager the Glazers should look beyond the 6m they’re saving by not sacking him now and consider the damage JM is doing to the club.
Mou has to go, but the all the problems will not leave with him; TLDR; with Mou gone we should have a shot going forward in the years ahead at 4th, but that is not good enough for MUFC - next level investment needed from Glazers (or sell) and Ed needs to appoint a DoF (or go) to spend it wisely and as part of a longer-term footballing plan Glazers = decision time - look at what City had to do to move up a level - buy mutiple keepers and CBs until they got it right, ship out 3/4 fullbacks and buy 3/4 full backs in one window etc. - look at what Liverpool had to do to move up a level - break the record for a CB, break the record for a GK - we need some next level investment to do the same in a number of areas - bottom line, the Glazers are going to have to either pony up some serious money to maintain their asset or GTFO and cash in (as has been rumoured) and let someone else with deep pockets have a go Ed = recognize your strengths but most importantly your weaknesses (step aside for a DoF) - a clubs manager needs managing to stay true to the club, the negative stuff coming from Mou during the Tour was a challenge to Ed authority and he let Mou walk all over him - the toxic relationship between players and coach should be managed higher up, Ed has failed here in his role of manageing Mourinho - his purchases have been a mix of opportunistic glory buys and poorly attempted bargain hunting (the BOGOF attempt on Fellaini, missing Perisic over 3m, not getting a CB this summer when now likely to cost same/more) - he has also wasted a lot of time and energy on his vanity purchases that haven't come off (Fabregas, Ramos etc.) - don't cheap out on sacking Mou just for a few quid, you will not be able to put a price on lost goodwill from the fanbase and youngsters supporting other clubs if you let this drag on - there is no overall plan that goes beyond the next manager, no recognizable club identity, which means no succession planning - bottom line, step aside on the footballing stuff and let someone qualified do it or GTFO Fans - don't accept this sh%t, we are MfU one of the biggest sporting brands in the world, if Ed/Glazers don't do their side of things when Mou is gone we should cut off all revenue until they do

I'm actually speechless... Had no idea they would actually act on this. If God is listening to me... Please let their be major restructure within the club and we finally get a footballing director.. We need true direction and to get our identity back.
