Spurs face an improving Clarets side at Wembley following their dramatic qualification for the CL last 16 at Barcelona on Tuesday. After a slow start, Sean Dyche (the best voice in the PL) has his side playing the kind of energetic football that caused the PL fits last season, so we will have to be at the top of our game to claim the 3 points. We have the usual injury list with Trippier, Aurier, Foyth and Sanchez as doubts and Dembele and Wanyama definitely out.
Eriksen at the death. now if Brighton, Soton, and ManU can take points off Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool, respectively tomorrow, we'll have had a lovely weekend.
Burnley played us very tough. We seemed suffering a post-CL sag. Still, at the end, we were not Spursy. We found a way. Champions find a way.
How clutch was that goal... Pulling another result out from what looked like it would be our first draw of the season. Couple extra point that could be huge down the road. Need some slip ups from the top two but hope we can keep doing this through the holidays and pick up even more steam with added confidence and determination heading into Spring. COYS!!!
Poch gets his 100th PL as Spurs manager, doing it in 169 games. Only Ferguson and Mourinho got to 100 faster with the same club. Not bad. Burnley were resolute as expected but pretty sad they were already time-wasting as early as the first half. That Graham Scott, one of the worst refs in the PL, allowed it for so long before starting to book their players, was equally frustrating. How Joe Hart never got booked was beyond me. Hard to believe that was Eriksen's first goal in the PL! Good time to get it. Great to see young Skipp get his PL debut start. Kudos to the 41,000 who braved the dire weather and football at a soggy Wembley.
