Just like that past couple of seasons, I will do my best to document announced attendance for the upcoming 2018-19 MASL games. Primary source will be the official MASL game sheets. If not available, I will also reference local newspaper articles or team's social media sites. Looking forward to another season of indoor soccer!
Orlando is already padding the stats. Can’t wait until the end of the season when they are boasting about finishing top 10 in attendance Thanks for the good work Scooge
Thank you for starting this thread. My guess is that Orlando had around 800 folks or so in the building. Very disappointing for opening night. Both stadiums looked very empty. I can't wait to see what Harrisburg reports tonight.
Saturday, December 1, 2018 Mississauga @ Baltimore - 3,811 St. Louis @ Florida - 3,276 Kansas City @ Milwaukee - 5,374 Utica @ Harrisburg - 2,954 Turlock @ Tacoma - 3,437
Sunday, December 2, 2018 Baltimore @ Utica - 3,028 El Paso @ Monterrey - 2,648 Dallas @ Rio Grande Valley - 1,350
Very positive number for the Heat. That has to be a healthy increase from what I recall from last year's home opener. For the first time in several years I did not go to the first home game of the season. I will be there on 12/8. I hope the Heat can hold onto the fans for this upcoming season.
As far as Orlando goes, the arena is not in Orlando it is in Kissimmee which is 24.5 miles from downtown Orlando. Having watched Hockey there even the first row is not close to the action. Similar to Harrisburg but newer.
Friday, December 8, 2019 Florida @ Mississauga - no report Utica @ Baltimore - 3,706 St. Louis @ Harrisburg - 2,672
Saturday, brotha. Sunday, December 9, 2019 Florida @ Utica - 2,367 Dallas @ Ontario - 1,305 Utica lost 22% of its audience between home games one and two. League average (with MMS still not reported) is 2,839. Home openers in Turlock, Dallas, Kansas City, St. Louis and San Diego next weekend.
Feels good seeing a healthy number for Harrisburg's game 2. Harrisburg sitting THIRD in average league attendance.
I dont think Orlando or Mississauga will stay very long, as their attendance is less than flies. Not surprising, outside of a few cities, indoor soccer just doesn't draw well.
Friday, December 14, 2018 Baltimore @ Orlando - 1,485 Harrisburg @ Florida - 2,071 Rio Grande Valley @ Turlock - 550
Saturday, December 15, 2018 El Paso @ Dallas - 1,930 Milwaukee @ Kansas City - 4,482 Ontario @ Tacoma - 3,505
Sunday, December 16, 2018 Harrisburg @ Utica - 2,941 Kansas City @ St. Louis - 4,750 Rio Grande Valley @ San Diego - 3,221
Very early averages, missing Mississauga's opener. El Paso is the only team that has not played at home yet (they will in two weeks).
Ambush had a nice crowd on hand yesterday....you could tell just from the telecast. I just wonder how many of those tickets were given away? Anyway....I'm back into it again and I will definitely be going to a few games this year.
Brian Roth said the lower bowl was sold out and while there were a lot of people upstairs there were a LOT of empty seats in the lower bowl. Which is not to take anything away from the overall crowd. One of their best.
