Apparently Lorenzo's agent is flying out to England to listen to potential offers. Wont take much for one of those bigger clubs to activate that release clause....

It’s still up to him to accept the move. Release clause or not they’re always going to end up moving if that’s what they want

Now checking his stats, he averaged around 36 games in all comps in the last 4 years, so its not too bad.

If the idea is to replace Dzeko then he is a good option, but if its to throw him on the wings then no.

Absolutely, and hopefully the "home town" factor can help sway his decision. That being said, when you're 22 years old and you got clubs the likes of Chelsea and Man U knocking at your door , offering you a lucrative contract then it would be pretty damn hard to look the other way.

Been wanting him to play for Roma before his Stoke days but I think the boat has sailed for him at centre forward, unless they give up on Schick which is unlikely right now.
He is good on the wing as a playmaker forward though, not like Schick if you're comparing him to that.

The point being, he was constantly called up to every age group. They dont take you back if you're not showing signs of progression in the international groups. France has thousands of talents.

Yes Roma has had prospects like him before, maybe he breaks through, maybe not. Clubs buys prospects all the time. I just find it a bit odd to use a 18 yer old talent as a measuring stick.

You are just making a wild assumption of his ability based on very little knowledge of him. I trust professionals to spot talent, they have tape and they have connections who they trust. Doesn't mean it always works out for a host of reasons but its rarely because the player had no talent to begin with.

I am sure but he could also look at Emerson
The same people who missed wildly on a couple of CB who have spent years playing at top level I do not trust to somehow get it right on an 18 year old who barely had a cup of coffee for a 2nd division side.

Yes, proven to be a very able replacement for Alisson.

I still find it amusingly ironic that the two transfers people were hating on the most (Olsen and Santon) have thus far turned out to be our most successful (aside from Nzonzi).

Hopefully Savonari is tied down to a fat clause. People are starting to catch on that he's a legit wizard after Alisson and now Olsen.

I feel everyone is jumping on the Olsen bandwagon very prematurely, he hasn't proven anything yet.

Well, he’s not a Goicoechea, Stekelnburg type of goalkeeper so in Roma’s books, that’s a success.

He is growing by every game.

Seriously though if we get an offer of say 30m+ for Dzeko we have to take it.

No way in hell Real offers that much for him. If they do then that's quite the piece of business on Monchis part. Heck, was Chelsea even willing to offer that much last year when he was year younger and coming off a phenomenal season where he registered over 40 goals in domestic and European competition combined?

Yeah, I think it was rumoured the offer was around 50m for Dzeko+Emerson from Chelsea.

Real Madrid makes almost no sense to me , but you never know. Maybe they want a better backup for Benzema and Mariano has been ass, I dunno. I barely follow that club.

Life's a gamble. If we keep the current players , then expect us to be the same.

You can get two good young players for the price of Jesus' wages--and he's our 3rd/4th CB. Doesn't make sense to me.

I think part of reason we've been hesitant to spend any real cash on a CB is because we can't afford to have Jesus pushed any further down the depth chart. His wages are just too high. Gotta get him off the books first.

He's definitely been better this season, though, no argument from me there. If he can steal games from Fazio consistently going forward, then throw everything I just said out the window.
