Also just wanna say, I don't like this version of Enzo Perez. He is not suited to play #5 on his own. I would have started Zucculini. I know Ponzio will be back, but in the future if he is out, I'd rather have Zucu in there. I would also consider Mayada for Montiel's position. I know this is a risky time to make changes, but Camilo has started a Libertadores Final at RB before and excelled against Tigres who had players much better than the ones boca has. That and he actually provides offensive quality not just with assists, but with goals on occasion.
Scocco continues to feel his injury in training. If he makes it to Saturday’s game, he’ll be available as a late bench option at best. Todo por ponerlo al pedo en un encuentro sin sentido vs estudiantes This means Pratto will be alone up front, unless Mora does something miraculous in training during the week. I’m hoping at least both Pity and Quintero start (if there ever was an opportunity, it’s now), although for now it seems Nacho Fernandez would have the advantage over the Colombian. Mayada could be a surprise alternative
It really is a shame about Scocco. Just his presence on the pitch would tip the balance to us, considering how much the bosteros fear him and his rocket shot. Who knows though, maybe it is mind games... And even though I'd always prefer Scocco to start, the last two times he came off the bench against boca, he liquidated the game I don't want Nacho Fernandez in there. To me, he is not a big name player and I'd much rather have Quintero, but it seems Gallardo does not like to play both Quintero and Pity at the same time. Some people say Nacho F has a better work ethic than Quintero, but I don't want someone to play in this Final because they can harry and press the bosteros, we are at home and we need to take the game to them. I'd also put in Mayada, but for Montiel who squandered about 40 different good crossing/pull back chances in the Bostanera. My line up would be Armani Mayada Maidana Pinola Casco Palacios Ponzio Enzo Pity Quintero Pratto I think we'll see no surprises and it'll be montiel and nacho f, but that is what i'd want to see in a dream world. Its hard to believe the match is almost here, but at the same time its hard to believe its not till saturday. Just thinking about the match makes me so nervous, but so excited. It truly is a chance of unlimited glory and put us ahead of the bosteros definitively once and for all. Vamossssss
The more I think about it, the less I want Nacho Fernandez in there. Sure, he is a type of enganche, but he doesn't have the ability to arrive in the area like Quintero. I know he has scored some nice goals, especially the one in the copa argentina final, but mainly he isn't a goal threat. He would rather go down easily and win a FK than to continue. Thats my opinion and I don't think having him is much of a help. It leaves only Pity and Pratto as the only true offensive players, and while Pratto did well last match, lets not pretend that he is now all of the sudden going to be this massive goal threat. He has yet to prove that he can be a really player for us in two consecutive games. He may very well score (god please let him score 3), but he has less than a goal ever three games for river, most of them in copa argentina, so he the odds are actually that he won't score this match and we need as many players as possible who offer a threat in the final third

River's formation: Armani; Montiel-Maidana-Pinola-Casco; Ponzio; I. Fernandez-E.Perez.Palacios-Pity; Pratto; Boca's eleven still unknown.. However, it looks like the game it at serious risk of being suspended after a few Boca players were affected by tear gas sprayed by the police outside of the stadium. The clubs' presidents are meeting with the head of CONMEBOL to discuss the outcome. Unbelievable..
The two times I've tried to show my friends the excitement and magic of Argentine futbol we got the panadero scandal and now this. How can anyone take us seriously? Shame, shame
Reminds me of the tine where one of my girlfriends told me I lack any emotion and a friend who was with us stated “you’ve clearly never seen this guy watch Argentina play.” But this is embarrassing, it is a stain on us.
Gallardo's response: "Si Boca no quiere jugar, no se juega" Arruabarrena's response: "River quiso sacar provecho y el partido tendría que haber seguido" Que distintos somos....
What a shame... River loses regardless of outcome: - If Boca abandons, "ganaste en el escritorio" - If Boca gets the trophy without play -- we didn't lose on the pitch - If the match is played and we win, they'll claim they weren't 100% fit physically and mentally. - If the match is played and we lose, "te ganamos con todo en contra" Nobody but Boca wins from this situation
I am embarrassed and angry at the attack on the Boca bus, but I'm not about to lie and say I'm not furious at the Boca fans who are showing their worst hypocrisy in this whole mess.
