This is funny but I think misplaced. CNN, NYT, and ABC News, to name three sources, call out Trump for lying repeatedly. Matters not. Those who don't wish to believe, do not believe. You're not going to convince them otherwise by dispensing of euphemisms.

I can't think of a time the NYT has called him a liar or what he says lies, though they probably have once or twice - they are forever angering me by not doing so. They say crap like "with no evidence" or "mistakenly says" or some other nonsense. The Post has, very recently, figured out that calling him a liar is more honest journalism.
I think Trump plays the NYT pretty well. They'll still go after some of the griftier, most corrupt cabinet members and hangers-on in the admin but they're pretty nice to him and almost lovingly devoted to his followers.
Maybe that's just my perception from tweets and my few free stories, I don't pay for a subscription.

The NYT thrives on Trump. Their business model appears to be the same as CNN in that things are bad when there's nothing to talk about, and that there's no such thing as bad publicity. Over the last two years, the NYT - not just the opinion section, but the actual paper - appear to not only be pro-Trump, but also enjoy writing stories that inflame the left, and it looks like they're doing it for clicks and buys. "You won't believe what the Times wrote now about Trump supporters" appears to be their only business model. There's more money to be made in a Trump presidency because there's more circus to cover. Slow news days don't sell papers.

Now now, I am a Sunday NYT subscriber and this isn't true. The Times does have its share of twaddle articles like "Why Trump is underappreciated" or "Why you shouldn't underestimate Trump voters," but they are outnumbered 10 to 1 (or more) by the anti-Trump stuff.

I'm not going to complain about media coverage. That's a Republican thing and I don't do Republican things, not if I can avoid them.

The only real flaw in the story line with that is that he admits he's gonna fail. No way the real Trump believes that!

If that's the case, then the Trump administration really has been doing so much winning....
