True. And you could say the same about Holding's handball vs Leicester. In fact, perhaps you did? :)

But still, without the nearly objective truth of VAR, the ref could've easily given either as an infraction, and kicked our guy out of the game. We've all seen that happen before (unjustly).

So I feel like we dodged another bullet early in the match. Then going on to take full advantage of those lucky breaks, and impressively stockpiling the early season wins, which should be good insulation for the inevitable(?) downturn in form, or injury crisis.

Oops, I meant to say "which sets us up perfectly for our title run". ;)

So I watched the replay, and yeah I'm glad I missed the first half. Not much there other than some disjointed transition play and a lot of miscues leading to players getting trapped out of position. Holding got better as the match went along but struggled for good bits of the half.

Agree with the comments about Torreira, but thankful they can win some games without the prime starting XI.

Ya, and the sporting player never touched ball. Even if a foul, red would be harsh. Mike dean would have sent him packing though.

Even if we’d gone down a man, I think we could have salvaged a point. A point was the goal I think in this one. Both teams set to go through as long as neither take a total dump.

They were poor, but on a technical level they probably are the 3rd best team we’ve faced this season. Add to that two 6’4” giants whom we had to deal with on 10 corners. And they’ve also kept like 10 of 11 clean sheets or something at home. Taking into account all these things and a win on the road is pretty massive.

Probably have to take it somewhere and tell them what you want. They should be able to use two periods for the umlaut.

I'm going over in a week and a half and can try to get it done for you at the Armory, if you want. Send me a PM if you need to.

Thanks for offering - I'll probably be going in the spring as I'm taking my dad to Europe for his 65th birthday for a trip that's been rescheduled too many times as it is.
