Prediction: Now that he has his new contract after a few good games, he'll go back to eating the pies and soon will get injured followed by lack of progress. Really hope I'm wrong. I want him to succeed here.
Signed based on the potential period. Gaya maybe better now but for me not many players are able to come back from that type of set back at that early age, he did. Now he has the heightened pressure of keeping his performances up.
his current performances wouldn't get him in any other United side in the last 20 years. he is rubbish offensively. he doesn't need to maintain this level he needs to find at least a few more
********ing rose tinted glasses you got there mate. We played Silvestre, Fortune, Richardson and Judas there for quite some time. Shaw would easily make those teams ahead of those players. Also fair to say the level of the PL has gone up considerably, imagine a talent like Seri at Fulham. A strike pair of Wilson and King at a team nobody expects to finish top half of the table? Mitrovic for a team in last place.

Congrats to Luke Shaw for being named United Player of the Month for the 3rd time this season. Hats off to him for the way he's rebounded after his United career believed to be close to death at one point. Let's hope he can kick on and keep improving the offensive facet of his game. https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/luke-shaw-voted-man-united-player-of-the-month-for-march-2019
I do not pay mind to comments regarding his end product because I knew that coming back from an injury the progression starts always on the defensive side and evolves to the attacking third. He has sharpened up his awareness, anticipation, and off ball movement on the defensive side and when in possession. Now we are starting to see more of his attacking talent in the final third and we are going to see more and more of that.
I've been critical of Shaw for some time but I will say this season he finally looks like the guy we thought we bought. I still think his offensive upside is likited because his final ball is soooo bad, but he's done a good job at exploiting space recently.
Come on now. Even before the injury, Shaw wasnt exactly known for his great crosses and end product in general. His thing was the fact that he's a tank with a v12 engine. That spell before he broke his leg, he would fly down the wing, would beat players because he already gathered momentum, but his crosses werent anything of note.
Shaw wins both Player of the Year awards. https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/luke-shaw-wins-sir-matt-busby-player-of-the-year-award-2018-19
Shaw is coming into his own. Only Rashford and Pogba had higher accumulated xA in the Premier League than Shaw.
Shaw improved considerably but still has work to do. For example being last man defender when teams break on us at corners - play the %s and track the player, dont try a risky interception you might not make. This is kinda true sadly (though the big problems are mainly elsewhere). 1126609635853651970 is not a valid tweet id
Agree with much of this, solid step forward this season but hopefully more to come from Luke. https://thebusbybabe.sbnation.com/2019/5/31/18647207/the-kind-of-year-of-luke-shaw-manchester-united
Luke Shaw's thoughts on the upcoming season for United. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...united-season-summer-stewing-rivals-european/
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...save-manchester-united-future-falling-behind/ Looks like the gauntlet has been laid down for Shaw by Ole. Williams's rise can hardly present better motivation for him. And we'll see now what he's really made of and whether he's up to the challenge.
A bit of banter from Shaw, but can't help thinking also that it's a bit of payback for the "leaked data" from Lukaku prior to his departure. Revenge is a dish served cold...
Largely overlooked as it emerged pre-Leicester but Luke Shaw's ankle injury means he could miss five finals if #mufc reach Europa League final. Injured for 2016 FA Cup and 2017 Europa League wins and overlooked for 2017 League Cup win and 2018 FA Cup defeat. Rotten, rotten luck.— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) July 31, 2020
