I haven't interacted with a single one, and I hate them. No, hate is too strong of a word. Whatever is between hatred and disdain - that's what I feel.

They cashed the check. They fully embraced MLS2ATX and the devil who was stealing our team, and they trolled us while it happened. (That's what the marketing tells us, right? It's "our club" in "our community"?)

This wasn't about feeding their families or surviving. They didn't have to make Sophie's Choice. This was simply a matter of being assholes. So f*** them and, just to say it again, f*** Lalas for trying to stay on both sides of the fence.

Eventually we get to a point where we can laugh about shitty things that have happened to us. I'm not there yet. Once I get there... sure, I won't give those guys another thought. Except maybe to laugh at them for a while when Precourt sells the team or just flat-out fails. Then I'll forget about them.

Aww man and here I was slightly hoping it would be announced by the 28th, so the 28th would be a big party.

    That clearly won’t happen now.

Dunno if you saw the OSU men's basketball ticket thing earlier. If I recall correctly, $100 per seat but you aren't guaranteed a specific seat. 2 days before the game you get a text/email with your seat location, and you can coordinate with others. I thought that was a pretty interesting use of technology. I'll see if I can find the link.

I believe San Jose's cheapest standard priced non-STH ticket is $22. You're saying it's even higher in Columbus?

For our final home game, the cheapest ticket available on Ticketmaster yesterday was $31. It's been about that all season long.

The cheapest ticket available on Ticketmaster right now is $35.

The CBJ's still do student rush on your phone now. $23 for Upper Bowl $33 for Lower Bowl. The green seats were killed (RIP) last season.

The Crew do have a student rush program but I never see it advertised. It's $15 for a ticket in whatever section they feel like sticking you in. I never got checked for my BUCKID even though I had it on me so It might be a cheap way for people to try games. FWIW I am a college student so they might've just assumed.

I think that program is just for OSU students right? For the CBJ's student rush tickets, any college student with a college ID can get a ticket.

They've done a better job recently of keeping the hoi palloi out of my EAST PREFERRED section. It used to be flooded with randoms who bought cheap tickets. It was frustrating to know that they're sitting in the same row at a fraction of the cost. On a personal level I was sort of ok with it. I've said before that my enjoyment of the game is increased proportionally by the size of the crowd. I don't care too much how they do it, but get more people in the seats. But over time I think it devalued my tickets. For folks who wind up eating the cost of 4 or 5 games a year because of weather or other commitments, I think those family 4 packs with food and drinks start to look like a nice alternative. Get those 5 times a year instead of 2 season tickets or whatever.

The new ownership group is only going to get once chance at this. I'm no expert so have very few things to offer here. I'd just like to see 19K+ in the stands every week. Lower cost tickets to start off with might be a good way to go. Make that good first impression, build out the mailing list , work from there to launch into the new stadium after a full on 2 year charm offensive.

Maybe so, Kimo, but I'd probably take a somewhat different approach.

Jimmy Haslem isn't going to be willing to sit around with his thumb up his ass for very long. He's got no reason to. He's a businessman and time is money.

Every day his sales people aren't selling and his marketing people aren't marketing and all the rest of it is simply time and money lost. If he's in, he doesn't want to wait around to see if maybe some lightweight trust fund baby in San Francisco manages to pull something out of his ass. I guarantee that he doesn't care.

I get that MLS does, but MLS also cares about Haslem and his money. If they get to the brink, piss him off and he walks, and then Precourt can't get anything done in Texas, they've got much bigger problems than they do today.

I'm certain that MLS would very much like to wait. However long it takes. I'm equally certain that Haslem wants the deal done. And with all due respect to sounderguy there, at this point MLS' point of view is not the only factor. Whatever hush-hush secret crapola they want to feed him, they don't really have all the time in the world and if they think they do, well, they've been wrong before, haven't they?

Talking totally out of my a$$ but....I don't know about that. I am getting the sneaking suspicion that PSV is really done in Columbus and MLS has essentially taken the team away from Precourt. To my knowledge, no one in the Columbus office has heard from him or Andy or any of them since the news broke Friday. Trying to avoid a rather unpleasant turn of phrase here but I think we actually might be on a totally separate track from PSV and Austin at this point. The only exception being in the public eye and perception wise but for all intents and purposes, we could be truly moving under our own volition again.

If that is true then the deal in Columbus will proceed with whatever gusto Haslam and Edwards wish it to. It could be done by the 28th and the game could be a massive party.

Austin, on the other hand, is a trainwreck of epic proportions which has totally gone off the rails. The fact that one of the mayoral candidates is now calling for the deal to be renegotiated is potentially catastrophic. I imagine MLS is just trying to get that train into A station where they can safely do some damage control and potentially tie Precourt to the tracks before setting off again.

If the only real connection is perception and visibility then they may take a hardline stance on the record with Miki and others to try and bolster the failing effort in Austin. Off the record, it could be something entirely different and much more honest. All the while closing the deal with Haslam in Columbus.

I didn't see it, that is an interesting concept for standby tickets.

I think it's possible *something* could happen. We're still 10+ days out, and by all reports negotiations are going well (and Haslam apparently wants this wrapped up soon). The thing about Austin is that as far as the lease goes: That's going well too! So there is no real need to posture with "act now before supplies gone!" They're gonna get the deal done down there. It doesn't really affect what is going on in Columbus. And the threat of a lawsuit and/or petition is not something Columbus can control. And MLS/PSV can't control it either. So holding up a deal for that reason makes no sense. There is no leverage to be used for those things.

As we refelect on our victory, in the War of PSV Treachery, we should remember our fallen comrades. Like @Placid Casual , by the way we have to get this guy to the tailgate, who gave his dying key stroke to the cause. Also, the many who lost Twitter counts to banishment (Apparently tweeting peoples work phones, home address, and google street view of their house is frowned upon.) I am sure if we had to do the same again we would.
