He’s exactly what we needed last season in the league. We’re obviously not going to make a move now but need a similar player if Mariano doesn’t claim that starting spot (looking unlikely right now).
Icardi and Dybala should be pushing Higuain and Messi out of the Argentina national team in the next couple of years...but in the meantime it would be nice to see them play at Madrid hating Messi for keeping them out, only to force him into retirement by dominating Barca.
I'd say Soldado comes close, but he's more of an exception that proves the rule. Falcao and Torres had some knee problems, but come close to fitting that as well.
Soldado never had 25 goals in a league season though. 24 was his highest and 18 and 17 in other two seasons with Valencia. He also used to have long spells of drought and then a good spell with double against Getafe etc. Icardi had a similar spell like 8-9 games without a goal last season, but he shows up against better Serie A teams.
Icardi's market is limited by the fact that his wife looks like she wants to keep him in Italy, and the fact that Inter will ask for twice his actual value. At this point he's not even a prospect, to make the argument that you'll get back an additional investment, he's the finished product.
There are 0 reasons for him to join Real Madrid other than to endager his own life and that of his family. Might as well call Messi and Busquets while we're at it.
Cadena SER: Neymar has a verbal agreement with PSG to leave at the end of the season. With Real Madrid and now Barcelona interested, he has spoken to Al-Khelaifi but any suitors will have to pay the French champions €220m next summer and €200m if the sale is in 2020.— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 18, 2018 RAC1: Barcelona president Bartomeu has been encouraged by intermediaries to challenge Real Madrid counterpart Florentino Perez for Neymar.— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 18, 2018 El Confidencial: Real Madrid intend to bid for Eriksen in January.pfffft.— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 18, 2018 Former Real Madrid president on Hazard-Madrid. pic.twitter.com/tyfEMvhdwE— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 18, 2018
So it was reckless by Real Madrid to sell Ronaldo who wanted to leave, but it is slavery otherwise if Chelsea don't agree to sell their best player.
Nonesense.. Griezman is a french player who spent 5 years at Real Sociedad.. .We did not go after him and that is whole point and we can sign their players and they can sign ours as per Florentino..we recently bought Theo for 30M from them..
Griez stayed at Atletico with them offering 25 ME per nett. Even Barca didn't offer close to that. Even Chelsea are offering Hazard 18 ME nett only. We could have easily kept Ronaldo if we are willing to throw that kind of money on Griez.
SPORT version for Neymar: - There's no release clause for 2019. - There's one for 2020, and it isn't under 200ME like the Cadena SER says. It's 215ME. El Confidential published a big article about Neymar, and MBappe - Madrid partners (sponsors ?), and the board people really want MBappe in Madrid, and are ready to wait for an opening to get him. - Flo on the other hand doesn't want MBappe necessarily soon as he is ok to let him grow up with PSG. - In Flo's mind, Neymar is still the current target to replace Ronaldo. Marcelo Bechler version on Brazilian TV (he was the one that announced Neymar to PSG before anyone else in 2017): - MD informations have some truth about Neymar being not happy in French League. - He discussed with his ex teammates from Barca. - Problem is that PSG refuses to open the door. - Even if an offer of 1 or 2 billions come now, PSG already said he will never be allowed to leave. French medias version: - LEquipeTV said spanish medias go back to what makes money: neymar's rumors. They have no infos about Neymar wanting to leave. - Philippe Goguet - the same that said that a release clause for Neymar exists - said that the Cadena SER infos are false based on his own informations. * Lots of smoke. To easy to accuse spanish medias like the french do as even Bechler said there's truth in it.
LEquipeTV discussed the very high possibility that JL could be fired very soon. They said that people like Laudrup or Wenger are real options. Especially since Wenger is free, and wants to work again by january 2019. A note on that: Wenger despite his flaws is not somebody that talk to a lot of people. I doubt LEquipe or anyone knows where he will end up. More infos in a bit from LEquipe as they will discuss it again in a few minutes live. edit: useless infos as expected. They said he recieved many offers, and that the most probable place he would end up would be as Bayern or Madrid coach. TL;DR: I believe it was a waste of time, and they don't have lots of infos. Mostly guesses from their pundits.
Be careful because just like the sun, they are right a few times when it is about their peers. They were mostly right when they discussed the Chelsea/Conte/Sarri circus this summer. Conte, and his Bus would be a terrible choice.
Man, Neymar is so underwhelming when compared to Mbappe. Especially when he's stagnating for the last like 3 years.
I know that he is unhappy. I can tell from his movemnet on the field. He is always rolling on the gorund in deep pain. I can really feel his pain and sorrow.... his loneliness.
The biggest BS here is the rumors that he's willing to go back to Barcelona. If i am not mistaken, Barcelona have an ongoing case against him and his father for that loyalty bonus. Also he would be going back in "Messi's shadow" which is something that i bet he isn't keen on doing and then in the end there's Barcelona's financial problems. If they get him back he's gonna demand HUGE wages and i don't think they can handle both his and Messi's wages without compromising the quality of their squad.
Griezmann is also a player who pointed towards the basque flag to please separatist fans while he was playing there. Theo was a nobody to Atleti and received death threats from Atleti fans. I'm sorry to say this but you're completely out of touch if you think Griezmann would sign with Real Madrid It's more likely he hates the club more than anything. If he wanted to leave Atleti, Barca was the perfect opportunity. A handshake in Real Madrid hatred and Atleti fans would still like him.
Don't they have the same numbers though? Mbappe is getting hyped to the moon but watching him play twice against Germany and he wasn't all that hot. Looked pretty out of his depth against Madrid last season too. Can't really remember if he did well against Liverpool.
I remember there were talks about him confessing he is a madridista. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/ot...walk-into-a-bar.2008532/page-42#post-30916144
Hazard: "I can finish with Chelsea. No problem at all. I am very happy with this club, with the team, my family is happy here. So If I don't go to Spain, it is not a problem. I love the fans - I think the fans love me! What happens in the future, I will be happy, so that's it." pic.twitter.com/Ssq6i36n2o— M•A•J (@Ultra_Suristic) October 19, 2018
