He’s exactly what we needed last season in the league. We’re obviously not going to make a move now but need a similar player if Mariano doesn’t claim that starting spot (looking unlikely right now).

 

Icardi and Dybala should be pushing Higuain and Messi out of the Argentina national team in the next couple of years...but in the meantime it would be nice to see them play at Madrid hating Messi for keeping them out, only to force him into retirement by dominating Barca.

 

I'd say Soldado comes close, but he's more of an exception that proves the rule. Falcao and Torres had some knee problems, but come close to fitting that as well.

 

Soldado never had 25 goals in a league season though. 24 was his highest and 18 and 17 in other two seasons with Valencia. He also used to have long spells of drought and then a good spell with double against Getafe etc. Icardi had a similar spell like 8-9 games without a goal last season, but he shows up against better Serie A teams.

 

Cadena SER: Neymar has a verbal agreement with PSG to leave at the end of the season. With Real Madrid and now Barcelona interested, he has spoken to Al-Khelaifi but any suitors will have to pay the French champions €220m next summer and €200m if the sale is in 2020.

So it was reckless by Real Madrid to sell Ronaldo who wanted to leave, but it is slavery otherwise if Chelsea don't agree to sell their best player.

- MD informations have some truth about Neymar being not happy in French League.
- He discussed with his ex teammates from Barca.
- Problem is that PSG refuses to open the door.
- Even if an offer of 1 or 2 billions come now, PSG already said he will never be allowed to leave.

French medias version:

- LEquipeTV said spanish medias go back to what makes money: neymar's rumors. They have no infos about Neymar wanting to leave.
- Philippe Goguet - the same that said that a release clause for Neymar exists - said that the Cadena SER infos are false based on his own informations.

LEquipeTV discussed the very high possibility that JL could be fired very soon.

They said that people like Laudrup or Wenger are real options. Especially since Wenger is free, and wants to work again by january 2019.


A note on that:

Wenger despite his flaws is not somebody that talk to a lot of people. I doubt LEquipe or anyone knows where he will end up.

Man, Neymar is so underwhelming when compared to Mbappe. Especially when he's stagnating for the last like 3 years.

 

I know that he is unhappy. I can tell from his movemnet on the field. He is always rolling on the gorund in deep pain. I can really feel his pain and sorrow.... his loneliness.

 

The biggest BS here is the rumors that he's willing to go back to Barcelona. If i am not mistaken, Barcelona have an ongoing case against him and his father for that loyalty bonus. Also he would be going back in "Messi's shadow" which is something that i bet he isn't keen on doing and then in the end there's Barcelona's financial problems. If they get him back he's gonna demand HUGE wages and i don't think they can handle both his and Messi's wages without compromising the quality of their squad.
