Question. If the Dems do in fact take the house, what exactly can they impeach Trump or Kavanaugh on? Aren't there grounds for impeachment? Aside for this, by the time it gets to the senate, they would need 67 Senators or 2/3 to vote either of them out of office. Therefore, what exactly is the point or intention? To waste more taxpayers money and time?
The House basically acts as the grand jury. They proffer charges if there is probable cause to go through. The Senate does the trial and determines if impeach or not. It was not intended for political purposes. The Republicans were stupid 20 years ago with Clinton. The Democrats would be even dumber to repeat that mistake.
