So far it’s going to be hard for El Salvador to get those top spots especially if they are piss poor in the scoring dept.

Top 3 standings in regards to GD.
    Haiti +13
    Cuba +11
    Curaçao +10

I will make no excuses for us because we should not be having close matches with teams of this level, but i feel like this is a massive oversight by Concacaf in Qualifying. If you look at the schedules of some teams they have it way easier than others (just look at Canada) the only team of note that we will face is Jamaica, this qualifying format will allow small teams that draw easy schedules to be able to Qualify for the Gold Cup and League A just by Goal Differential. This could possibly problems of match fixing in the future.

We are currently in 10th place so right on the borderline. I think the only way the can qualify is either win out or at least get a draw against Jamaica on the last match date. The next opponent is Bermuda and DLC better go full on attack mode and put aside his line-up of one striker up top.

It’s ridiculous that the way to make top 6 is to score ‘Beginner-level on FIFA 19’ amount of goals. Curaçao are on top with a goal difference of 15+.

I guess I can’t complain about this new format; Canada doesn’t get automatic qualification to the Gold Cup, and Caribbean teams are matched up with the Central American sides as opposed to playing separately.

To be fair, we had a chance to score a ridiculous amount of goals. Two goals taken away from BS offside calls, and Bonilla and Mayen missed plenty as well. We need to be more clinical

Anyone know when ES starts practicing for the Bermuda game? It’s only a few days away for kick off.

Los convocados. Still no credible goalscorer, Fabricio Alfaro somehow continues getting a call up and De Los Cobos insisting on going with Henry Hernandez in goal. I'm feeling a 1-0 win in the dying minutes in Bermuda.

he refuses to call up a recognised goalscorers , we might as well get used to this as he continues to be stubborn with his player selections

    Bermuda won 1-0.

The U-20 losses to Panama and Mexico were not shocking nor unexpected, but this loss is absolutely disappointing to say the least.

BigSoccer and oz.com both having technically difficulties was maybe the universe telling us don’t bother.

    A few things

    1. This goes back to what I was saying that we have no right to call any other nation minnows.

    2. History was against us from the beginning so those who thought we would rout them never bothered to look to the past. The last two occasions that El Salvador has visited Bermuda resulted in a 1-0 defeat and the “most recent” a 2-2 draw.

    3. They better be going in hard on DLC he brought not one freaking striker instead opting for Dennis and he usually plays in the wings. You could have brought Peña or Fito and everyone on this sub knows my feelings on that guy, also I think it’s time to see if Diaz can be nationalized or not to add more to that position.

    4. They need to question his call ups more like I stated above he doesn’t bring in Peña since he comes off the bench, yet brings bench fodder in other positions that makes no sense at all.

    5. The only hope now is to beat Jamaica and given the history I don’t think they are capable of that.

I knew this was going to happen as soon as we hired De los Cobos, seriously this guy has been out coaching snice 2015; and hasn’t been successful since 2010. He claims to be trying new players and that’s the reason he doesn’t call up Zelaya or Villalobos, but yet calls up Henry Hernandez who not been called since roca was in charge and let’s been honest not the best goalie, he only called two strikers so far, which is crazy, to play one striker, we needed goals yet continue to play one striker system, we don’t have the players to play just one striker.
So ********ing frustrating every time we hire good coaches, our federation ******** them up, seriously other countries would have killed to have Eduardo Lara and Ruben Israel as their national team coach. Yet we give up and give mediocre coaches or coaches past their prime to coach what should be the pinnacle of our league, Maradiago-Juan Castillo-De los Cobos.
We will continue to stall as a footballing nation when our national team continues to take a reactive instead of proactive approach.

Yeah I don’t see that happening especially with one striker up top.

I actually remembered this post when I learnt of our loss to Bermuda.

It really is insane how often and always we go back to square one. We’re like Cuba, except we don’t lose half of our squad every couple of years to defection.

Oscar Ceren deservedly made the team of the tournament. His goal right before the end of the Montserrat game was huge once everything was said and done.

We have our group B group.

Not a cakewalk if they think like that they will get caught.

    We are with
    Republica Dominicana
    Saint Lucia
    Montserrat

You know Montserrat and the DR both want payback for leaving them out of world cup qualifiers and the gold cup
