    I mean what I said.

they really see us as a huge team for some reason, they reiterated it time and time again too as If it weren't clear the first few times they said it.

Ah yes. Maurice Edu called Colombia a World Power.
Alexi Lalas was saying great things too. I loved it when he talked about the highlights that put the USA up 2-1 he said that was" poking the bear". And boy did the bear wake up and savagely come back.

It is great to see that they know how good this team is and appreciate our team and our style.
At least the guys on FOX.
The guys on ESPN though are more of a mixed bag when it comes to their opinions.

We are always going to be our own worst critic, other fans/pundits will likely rate us but people like us can nitpick at something for every position.

Same goes the other way - we would likely rate a team like Brazil, France etc, but their hardcore fans will find at least a dozen concerns or critiques that we wouldn’t know about upon first glance.

    In other friendly news:
    Qatar beat Ecuador today.

    My goodness.
I am tempted to see what their fans are saying in their forum but don't want to troll.

We beat them all the time. They have to rate us high to soften the blow of losing to us all the time.

Like we might lose cuz they are soooo good

Well we have a strong history in their MLS. Also, we're the team that they faced the most outside of CONCACAF.

Glad my boy JFQ is showing his class, he should be starting every game he's healthy and Colombia needs to always do its best to have him and James together. JFQ is much more influential then Cuadrado imo, I'd start him over Cuadrado in a heart beat when we play with Quintero like 75% of the games he played since the summer he's made a huge difference for us hopefully whoever is the coach embraces and accepts that the guy is a super talent and James and JFQ together allow one of them both to thrive.

My friend who watched the game with me last night was like “where is the reggeton guy? He had that awesome goal against Japan”

After jfq was subbed off, she said “damn he really changed the game around, why doesn’t he play 90 minutes more often?” Which gave me a nice laugh.

I think los Ticos can give us a different set of Challenges than the USA.
Especially since they are using veterans as compared to youngsters the US was using.
Plus they are not going to just take every Barrios type of foul lightly. They will do lots of payback and physically and try to retaliate in many ways.

I expect some hot tempers if our DMids and Defenders don't clean up their acts.

I hope Cucho and Falcao started......evolution of Cucho will depend a lot of which kind of players he will play in his career in these years..............Falcao was lucky despite have horrible partners in Colombia......to be partner of Ortega, Gallardo, Abreu, Farias....and their relatives Higuain and Alexis Sanchez.

Cucho is the first time in all his carreer that is sharing looker room with elite players........this could be determinant in the build a winning mentality of the player.....but he needs to play with Falcao, James, Cuadrado etc.......no with roa, didier moreno, villa, machado......

Please Reyes give us this favor...in huesca he wont have this chance soon.

Reyes mentioned both him and Barrios were completely clear of any issues. I expect them both to be on the field. Specially Barrios, as he's definitely making changes to the backline! If you think Jeison and Davinson were poor vs USA, get ready for a backline of

    Palacios Aguilar Oscar Machado

time to make Costa Rica look world class ;)

Oscar Murillo I like as a CB. He's not our best but we know he can compete at these levels. But he needs a good partner and Aguilar next to him would be a nightmare.
