My History professor had students sit in a circle (probably a rectangle, but not in rows and columns) for discussion. Has anybody taught or taken a class where students sat in a circle?

I've taken the class where we were sitting in a circle. First few times it was very weird, but after time we realized that this is a nice way to talk to anyone. When there is a discussion going you don't have to turn around to ask a question or give the answer. If you are interested in this method you should read a research that was made by https://eduzaurus.com/type-my-essay where you can find other methods of organizing the lecture space and what influence it has on productivity and result of learning in general.

I talked to the professor a couple of months ago, and I'm happy that she remembered my first name after not having seen me for over 12 years.
