I checked out the 57/58 EC final and I can't find the box with outright ratings like "notable", "regular"... but just a describtion of each player. I assume you made the grades yourself interpreting what was said in the article? I might have just missed it though.
When Marca put grades or ratings, I put the numbers at spreadsheet. When aren't grades, I read the reports and rated players by myself accordingly which is written there, putting the numbers in colors different to black. In those cases I specified, ratings will be taken with a grain of salt.
Really good job. I thought about doing it, but that's something better than by a native speaker.... btw do you think it would be possible to make game ratings for earlier seasons just based on the reports? or isn't there enough information in the articles?
In the earlier seasons posted without grades, the reports told about the best and worst players for each match, in most cases mentioned the performances of the 22 men. That's how I venture to make ratings (red color at spreadsheet)
I don't know where to do it but last week Voetbal International also released a 'Spain special' (150 pages). Just as with the English version they profiled 50 iconic players. It are not necessarily the 50 best, most influential, with the most trophies or whatever (same for the England special with e.g. Kevin Philips and Joey Barton in). It is more like that they fit in a general trope or have relevance for the story. On order of appearance: Iniesta Di Stefano Maradona Rivaldo Kempes Sergio Ramos Neymar Valeron Zidane Schuster Roberto Carlos Modric Butragueno Cruijff Ronaldo Kubala Mendieta Netzer Bebeto Godin Casillas Xavi Busquets Dani Alves Griezmann Figo Koeman Puyol Raul Puskas Hugo Sanchez Messi Cristiano Ronaldo Laudrup Redondo Eto'o Djalminha Neeskens Romario Zamorano David Villa Gento Forlan Rafael 'Pichichi' Moreno Telmo Zarra Luis Suarez Miramontes Luis Alberto Suarez Diaz Stochkov Fernando Torres Ronaldinho About Netzer it is for example said his countryman Breitner, who is seven years younger (both born in September), played in reality 'better' (more of an impact and contribution for his team, came alongside other investments a year later) - though @msioux75 his Don Balon thread/ratings with ideal XIs doesn't give that impression - but Netzer has more of a place in the story and the characteristics of 1970s Spanish football. Same applies to a Djalminha or Forlan. I have to say, a highlight is the article on 'Juego de Posicion' with all sorts of graphs and diagrams If there are questions, no problem.
@msioux75 Do you have any plan to proceed the list from season 1965 - 1966 to 1974 - 1975 or you could share the source of rating. Although La Liga in this period is the era of declination and almost none of foreigner superstars, it would be really appreciated to see the rating of top-class Spanish players like Pirri, Amancio, Iribar and any other players.
The dominant teams in Spain this season were, without a doubt, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid. By scoring match by match the ratings of the most international class footballers and extrapolating the ratings from 0, 1, 2 and 3 to 4, 6, 7 and 9 respectively, here are the results. I want to note the impressive average of Kubala, who played little, but when he did (almost always in important games) he did very well. It is striking that Barcelona's performance was much better in the European Cup than in the league; Although at this time rotations were not yet in fashion, the Barcelona squad was very broad, both in quality and quantity, which meant that there was no base team in the league, being noticed in some games with bad play and negative results. Specifically, up front, Kubala, Suárez, Villaverde, Kocsis, Evaristo, Tejada, Czibor and Eulogio Martínez (I think I'm not forgetting any of them) all of them of immense fame and quality were competing for the 5 positions up front, but as Celia Cruz said "no hay cama para tanta gente" Although I did not average more than 30 or 40 players, I would highlight others like Ramiro, Julio César Benítez, Paquito or Adelardo, with a splendid season. Here are some of the averages that seem most remarkable to me. Kubala: 7.69 (13) Griffa: 7.24 (25) Di Stéfano: 7.04 (23) Santamaría: 7.00 (28) Branches: 6.92 (26) Gensana: 6.89 (19) Garay: 6.88 (25) Del Sol: 6.86 (29) Rivilla: 6.86 (29) Luis Suarez: 6.82 (17) Gento: 6.79 (28) ……………………………………………………. Puskas: 6.43 (28) Peiró: 6.17 (24) With Marca data and also taking into account the results of their respective teams and their individual performances in other competitions, this could be an ideal team. IDEAL XI Ramallets; Rivilla, Griffa or Santamaría (1), Casado; Gensana, Garay (2); Del Sol (3), Kubala, Di Stéfano, Luis Suárez, Gento (1) I am 50% with each one. (2) Not having a position in the center of defense, I place him at the left midfield, where he played on some occasions. (3) Kubala is contested for the inside right position, but he would be better suited to the far right position than Laszlo. If someone wishes, I can also publish the ratings for the European Cup and the Spanish national team and a complete statistical study of the Barcelona players that was published in the magazine “Barça”.
Nice work, Titanlux. In addition to the most well known players, can you calculate the ratings of the better rated players in this season (f.ex. Zamora jr, G.Verdugo, Enderiz, etc)

Thanks for your kind words!!! Sadly, 1957/58 was the first season, Marca made grades for every match in La Liga.
I understand! I thought that the first season with ratings was 58/59, and the previous one you did, according to the reports from the matches !? It is a pity that there is no before and thank you again! Be healthy
Hello! I found out that Barcelona also played UEFA Cup matches in 1960-61! Do you have Marca ratings from them?
He would have to find the copies of the corresponding dates. If you could give me the dates of those matches, I'll look for them and I'll put them here. Send me a private with those dates, please.
