A los rojos hasta Iztapa le pinta la cara en su casa. And to think Les wanted Medford to be the NT coach. Smh haha
That's a huge upset. They lost to a bunch of fishermen 1-3. The salary of what Municipal pays for two foreigners is what the whole Iztapa squad is worth.
I didn't know it was this bad. But at least they looked better in the clasico, now that they only played 3 foreigners. The fact that Martinez is starting over their 3 foreign forwards speaks volumes of good this kid can be and how terrible they have been
Othoniel Arce signs with Siquinalá https://www.guatefutbol.com/2018/09/06/marvin-avila-sorprendido-por-la-contratacion-de-otoniel-arce/
Puta mucha, los rojos son una mierda ahhahaha. They were beating Malacateco 3-1 at home now they're losing 4-3. I'm all for laughing at them but they have important players for the NT, so they better get rid of Medford for our sake (no me pasa que Les lo queria para la seleccion ahaha) The only positive is the el Flaco Martinez keeps scoring (scored a brace today)
Today is a very interesting. Around 400 players went on strike and have refused to play today. Municipal played with the reserve team and tied 2-2 vs Siquinalá. Siquinalá also played with a combination of youths/reserve.
Probably, because youth players are on the field now. More news, Apparently Guastatoya has decided to fire the WHOLE team. LMAO
I doubt. The directivos are just using them, after all this shitshow gets fixed they'll be discarded for crappy foreigners. Besides, they should've thought ahead and backed the boycott as well, because in the long term they'll suffer just thr same as out senior players
What do you think of Jeffrey Payeras? He's American, and I don't expect many Americans to play in Guatemala.
I've personally never seen him play. The last I've heard of him he was involved in a car accident and hurt a knee or something. I don't know if he's playing again. @Chul0
Well, he's decent, solid. He was arguably one of the key players for Municipal when they won their last title. I think him standing out has more to do with the lack of quality defenders in our league atm (both foreign and national). I wouldn't have him as a starter 10 years ago for example. However, if he can recover from his injury, I see him as starter for both Municipal and the National team. Having said, he's one of the few successful "Americans" in our league. With Santelliz being the other one. Moises Hernandez was too inconsistent, Ashlin Rodas had one good season, Rudy Baldetti wasn't good enough, Irving Garcia was Bad, Jonathan Top was terrible and Christopher Ramirez was injured the whole time he was here. The only one left is Dominguez (he's Canadian though), but he doesn't play much for Antigua
Dominguez is half Dominican too and born in Canada out Impact de Montréal . I was intrigued when he signed with Antigua, what happened?
He plays sometimes but he doesn't stand out. He's like a poor man's Aparicio in the sense that we still don't know if his best position lies as a pure holding DM or as a box-to-box. Y en antigua, for the holding they have Mignorance and for the B2B they have Galindo who are both better than him. I think his best bet is to convert himself into a CB. We're lacking defenders right now haha
Clásico Nacional: Municipal 2-0 Comunicaciones JC Martínez and Moreira scored for MUN. COM also missed a PK
I haven't watched the league for while, but from the game I saw from them against Muncipal they're really good ( for our league at least). Cincotta y Luis Martinez should be in the squad for the november games. Y no jodas, Kamiani's time was 3 years ago, now it's late. Prefiero a los dos Martinez jugando arriba (El flaco & Luis ) Here 2 of his last few goals, he seems to have recovered his Xelaju self #Apertura2018 | ¡Golazo!Anota Luis Martínez, dejó tirado a Dennis López y a Paulo César Motta. Puta todos mis equipos les gusta andar dando las nalgas lately. First La Sele, then the dodgers & now Cremas :'( On the brightside, el flaco la sigue rompiendo. I know I've said it many times since I saw him in the u-20. Ese cerote es mi gallo to lead the line for the next 10 years.
So Municipal just got eliminated hahaha. And there are rumors Claveri will take over. Win win imo. Claveri shouldn't be in charge of the NT, pero si le dan tiempo con los Rojos, he can overhaul and take adavantage of their youth setup. Just look at what he did at Suchi. Muchos de los patojos que salieron de alli fue gracias al trabajo de el. The 6 teams qualified for la liguilla(still no definite order) Guastatoya, Xela, Malacateco, Cremas, Antigua, Coban
After the press conference yesterday I dont think Claveri will be taking over. But Municipal should (IMO) concentrate more on building their young players. Sick of seeing such a big name team look for a quick solution by bringing in old players (local or abroad). They obviously have the money for players, invest that in development, and getting players abroad for the real bucks si pisto quieren.
