When I first started going a few years back we used to have awesome huge Union flags in the river end. Why did that stop? I think it greatly adds to the atmosphere and intimidation. Thought of this watching the DC united match this week and its awesome to see.
I don't know but getting whacked on the head by those stupid floppy poles they have to use really sucks.
People who get river end tickets because they're cheap complain when they can't see the game through the flags.
basically. People don't grasp that it just comes (or should come) with the territory. I'm very anti-forcing people to sing and anti-getting in people's face if they aren't standing. Let people do what they want to do... but on the flip side, those people shouldn't complain about anything like flags/language/noise. Two way-street. Open up to all and however you want to support, but know going in you may have an obstructed view at times.
