. Doesn't help when Brad doesn't give him playing time. Rowe is a much better threat than Zach

I'm not convinced that Friedel knows what he's doing.

We are what our record says we are --- not a playoff team.

We were consistently a step late to every ball, or played the ball too quickly rather than to one of our teammates. We are not a quality team right now....just aren't.

When I was a kid I learned if you sound and look like you know what you're doing confidently enough, you'll earn credibility. Even if your team has lost 8 straight and you're able to spin it as "dominating" when you're clearly outgunned on every area of the pitch.

To me, I'm beginning to think that Brad is playing for next year.

Perhaps that's true but from a revolution perspective, I'd rather see Herivaux get Rowe's minutes and use these last 9 games to develop. Friedel doesn't rate Rowe, right or wrong, and there's little to no value in helpign Rowe pad stats when he's clearly going to be moved this off-season. The question is how much comp is Rowe worth?

Tough call. It appears to me that the head of the PUnion player is slightly forward (goal-ward) of the Rev defender.

Regardless. Come hell or high water - don't stop and play "wave the hand" defense - track back like you're playing park soccer with a single ref on Sunday morning.

Oh, shit. Speaking of that, I have to ref in the AM. 'night y'all.

I am increasingly convinced he doesn't. It is fine to want your players for hustle but talent counts for something as well :(

Interesting choice of words on mls site on the recap... (my bold)

Conversely, the loss heaps more misery on Brad Friedel's Revs, who have lost six of their last seven games, and have slid to seventh in the Eastern Conference.

From what I've seen of Herivaux he is not a MLS level player and I don't think he ever will be. I don't know what Rowe is worth? After this season... not much and Im sure that will be just what Burns gets for him.

There are obviously 3 players now that Brad won't use. Two aren't even making the bench anymore. Problem is, we don't have enough depth to compete. We lose Teal for a game and Brad pushes Diego up top. That was a bust!.. Too small, too short. Juan or Rowe would have been a better choice but Brad has judgement issues. Im soooo tired of this already

But we're too good to have Kelyn Rowe play for us....................

Seriously, Brad, you want to shape the team in your own image? Fine. Trade Rowe, Trade Fagundez, trade Agudelo, trade Penilla, get Zardes in the Precourt Fire Sale, bring Ema Boateng, play your 3 dmids to 'anchor" the defense in front of your four fullbacks, tell Bunbury he can play anywhere he wants on the field, tell your defense of 8 to boot the damn ball in Blackburn style way the hell up to the front. Have Ema and Zardes run around like decapitated chickens and see if they hit the trifecta. Yeah, you would continue to not make the playoffs, Brad, but think of how dirt cheap a non-playoff team you would be constructing.......:coffee:

Make Mikey and Brian and Bobby proud of ya, Brad.

Yeah, it's starting to dawn on me. I shouldn't be surprised. Another guy who had never coached before. But, it was Brad Friedel. So I suspended disbelief.

    Fulltime take aways:

Farrell, juan, and diego were most dissapointing tonight in that order. I liked the 3 man midfield combo that we ran out, and i thought it really benefited the revs for most of the game. Bye and penilla were generally very tood on the left side, and the cb's looked like a professional pairing for the first time in months. But the right side was a sinkhole with both juan and farrell draging it down.

Too bad the revs have no players you want to see as substitues. Missing teal and caldwell for a match the 3rd guy up is apparently brandon wright. Dont really know what he did in 30 min. 4th guy is zach herivaux i guess, and im not sure he'd start in usl. Sad to see how far rowe, somi, and dielna have fallen on the depth chart

I have always admired Brad Friedel as a keeper. In my opinion the best we've ever had.
So far I have seen absolutely nothing to admire in Brad Friedel as a manager.

In Rowe, Dielna, and Somi, Brad is letting about $1.7M of Salary rot on the bench or back at home without even making the trip. You can have all the opinions you want about how good those players are or are not but I don’t call what Brad is doing “good coaching.” He’s got to get performances out of those players not just leave them to rot.

I don’t feel like watching Anibaba and Bye play in the back is “building for the future.” Neither do I think that regarding Herivaux. And Wright? Those are players that are never going to be better than MLS journeymen.

This isn’t coaching, it is malpractice.

Ill disagree on bye, but the rest is totally spot on. Need to maximize the output of your best players, who generally are the most highly compensated, and those are 3 prime examples of brad not doing it. I'd argue juan, delamea, and, before he left, nemeth fell into that category was well

Even beyond the choice of holding player over an attacking player when you're a goal down, what the hell is he doing waiting that long when the team is losing? Give your subs some time to do something.

For what it’s worth, we’re now behind our pace for last year. If we don’t get 16 points (5 wins and a tie in 2017) out of our final 9 matches, we will end up with a worse point total than last year. (3 of those wins and the tie came in the final 5 matches, after Heaps was fired.)

Dont forget my personal favorite. I wont mention his name again BUT Rowe is now getting the same treatment. Will he get the same end result?

Does anybody know how long Brad's contract runs? Has Burns locked us into this fool for multiple years? Personally, Im counting the days until he's gone at this point. I think he's worse than Heaps
