Lets see....Current standing FIRE 6-14-5 23 pts and San Jose 3-13-7 16 pts

    Teams remaining schedules: My predictions

    CHICAGO

    @ Montreal (L)
    vs. Columbus (L)
    vs. Orlando (W)
    @ New England (L)
    @ NYCFC (L)
    vs. LAFC (L)
    @ DC (L)
    @ Atlanta (L)
    vs. DC (W)

That would make our record: 8-21-5 29 pts.

    SAN JOSE

    vs. Toronto (T)
    vs. Vancouver (W)
    vs. FC Dallas (L)
    @ Vancouver (L)
    vs. Kansas City (T)
    vs. Atlanta (L)
    @ LAFC (L)
    @ Houston (T)
    vs. NYRB (L)
    vs. Colorado (W)
    @ Seattle (L)

That would make their record: 5-19-10 25 pts.

2018 Wooden Spoon: San Jose Earthquakes.........

I could see us losing out the season if Pauno is the coach for rest of the season.

Unfortunately I hear San Jose is very strong this year, they may get it ahead of us, but I am sure we can give them a run for it.

Yeah, I think we will come up short, unless Pauno is the coach for the entire season. Then it's still possible.

Mucho kudos for using a great song by the world’s greatest singer/song writer and his band.

Too bad it’s for such a sad reason.

This could be cross-posted with just about every thread here:

and again, sung by Amanda Mabro

    Here's a story about a sinner,
He used to be a winner who enjoyed a life of prominence and position,
But the pressures at the office and his socialite engagements,
And his selfish wife's fanatical ambition,
It turned him to the booze,
And he got mixed up with a floosie
And she led him to a life of indecision.
The floosie made him spend his dole
She left him lying on Skid Row
A drunken lag in some Salvation Army Mission.
    It's such a shame.

    Oh demon alcohol,
    Sad memories I cannot recall,
    Who thought I would say,
Damn it all and blow it all,
    Oh demon alcohol,
    Memories I cannot recall,
Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol.
    Sad memories I cannot recall,
Who thought I would fall a slave to demon alcohol.

    Barley wine, pink gin,
    He'll drink anything,
    Port, pernod or tequila,
Rum, scotch, vodka on the rocks,
As long as all his troubles disappeared.
But he messed up his life, went and beat up his wife,
And the floosie's gone and found another sucker
She's gonna turn him on to drink
She's gonna lead him to the brink
    And when his money's gone,
She'll leave him in the gutter,
    It's such a shame.

    Oh demon alcohol,
    Sad memories I cannot recall,
    Who thought I would say,
Damn it all and blow it all,
    Sad memories I cannot recall,
    Who thought I would fall,
    A slave to demon alcohol.

The “soulmates” will likely oversee the first last place finish of Basti’s career, even if it is last in the Eastern Conference...

At least they accomplished something this season!

Congratulations to San Jose on getting more “point” today than the Fire have in the last 8 games.

    Jesus, we are awful.

Well, it is still a long shot, but the spoon is still possible. I think San Jose is more pathetic than we are, but time will tell.

We have 8 games left in the season, max points in those games is 24. Add that to our 23 points the max we can get is 47 points. Montreal has 33 points, so subtract 33 from 47 you get 14. So if Montreal win and we lose the number drops to 8 (3 for the Montreal win and 3 for our loss).

Our Wooden Spoon elimination number is 24.
