I'm imagining Queso Boy at a table in Vegas thinking he can raise money for a light rail stop if he wins enough.
Damn. I try to be so careful not to do that. In my defense, that long "spam" thing (which I still don't get) was in between the first and second post. So when I posted, it was not 3 in a row until the mods used their mod superpowers to send it to shitcan land. Also, I'd point out that here's a case where fans who weren't around in 1998 and thus do not instantly recognize #16 (the infamous Rob Smith; is he still the coach at Worthington Christian?), #4 Argentianian Ricardo Irribarren (who was also a Crew assistant coach for a time) and that funny looking kid behind them who, if you don't recognize him, please move to Austin cause nobody there knows either, can be quickly and easily identified using the Persing Spreadsheet that I posted elsewhere. Just saying. (Also, just in passing, those are still hands down the best Crew uniforms ever. Just not even close. And in the long-sleeve version; talk about rare, although someone claims to have one; @Kryptonite maybe)
I remember Rob Smith! As a boy we I ran into his Dad in the parking lot, and he told us to stick around. Rob came by about an hour after the game and gave me his hat (his sweaty nasty awesome for a little boy hat) That's exactly the kind of thing that has made me a lifelong supporter of the Columbus Crew. Those are the memories I now want to see my kids get to make (and thankfully with this season they have gotten to make some really wonderful ones).
300 posts this Friday. Probably many more if we hadn't broken BS for about 3 hours. So, mods, any info on why the site went down?
I have the opposite situation. I don't have the time to keep up with this thread at work; I'm lucky to be able to read some of it on my phone and throw out a few reps. So, work I have to finish has often left me with a depressing amount of keeping up with this thread at home! Such as reading posts 'til 11:30-12am lately... Also--how do so many people post so frequently from work? Light workloads? Not much direct supervision? "Own boss"? Super-duper efficient?
Phone + no hovering bosses. One of the good things about working in my field is the flexibility and light touch. InfoCision it ain't.
Some of us are directly involved in the implementation and control of the security mechanisms that block you normies at work.
Tapatalk on my phone to stay dialed in. I rarely if ever go to BS website on my computer, and certainly not at work.
My boss works in another office and I'm friends with her boss and his boss. Also I get my work done in much less than 8 hours.
Millennials are bringing back bocce. We love those sort of activities. Shuffleboard by the beach all day long.
Listen, just because you just discovered it doesn't mean it wasn't already there. You're working on ruining bocce and there will be hell to pay.
I love the idea that Millenials can destroy industries and the chosen start point was golf, mayo, and diamonds....like we wouldn't have targeted the student loan industry first.
Not "destroy". "Ruin". Apparently you're working on language and subtle but meaningful differences as well.
Hey, we weren't the ones who thought rad and chillax were usable words. Don't blame us for trying to build a house on a foundation of linguistic sand.
