The view is a LOT like the one from the Season Ticket Member bar at RFK, whatever it was called. A bit closer to the field, but feels like a similar height. I only went before the game on Wednesday, but I'd like to try watching from there sometime, at least if DC is attacking toward that end. Just be really careful descending that staircase if you drink a lot... I hadn't had any and I got a little off balance cause it was so open next to the stairs. Each end needs to have a name like they do in many Euro stadiums. That's something that us fans need to get to work on!
Which category of tickets does that bar fall under? Is it club-level related, or something different?
I know upstairs is the "standing room only" area. It looks like below is just club related if you have seats there
One thing I've learned so far (which I do for all stadium events), is bring cash. Lines are long. But there are a couple hot dog carts and beer guys seemingly every 20 feet that are usually empty or 1 person being served. Also though kind of surprised the beer guys don't take cards. They do at Capital One, figured it was a modern standard now, but maybe not.
No, the SE's didnt want the name. DU and BB do. the FO went with SEs suggestion of no name. BB/DU are back and we have talked to Jason and Chris in length about this and they are in favor of this, now if we can get the SEs on the same page. BB/DU call is the Chico stand already. Just wait for more.....
The Chico painting that was hung up in the section entrance got some screen time on Wednesday which was pretty cool. If for whatever reason Chico stand doesn't become a thing I've always thought that Lot 8 was a good name for the section.
As someone who's been an SE longer than (I'd guess) anyone on their board these days, I'd also vote for the Chico stand (or if he would have preferred, the Javier Solares Stand)
I mean, they've been pulling that same shit for literally *years*...at this point, it just rolls right off my back.
McNair didn't open the ceremonial gate Wednesday night. Perhaps they only use that gate on Sundays. Getting to Audi Field is relatively easy. Leaving is a goat grope and reminds me of trying to leave FedEx Field.
If you both could help out that would be awesome. I agreed it should be Javier Chico Solaris stand instead of just Chico stand.
Apparently dynamic pricing works in both directions, see if cheaper seats and free beer OR concessions helps top off the seating I thought they were doing really well on attendance.
Someone told me that before Audi stepped in to claim sponsorship of the stadium, the original name was "Thor Lee Lane." I'm all if favor of resurrecting legends.
Stroke? No Struck? Yes Struck by how odd, no funny, no hilarious it is to see a couple of posts concerning infringement on the supporters section after all the wailing and gnashing of teeth that transpired. Particularly when there's some wording that makes a thinly veiled threat in one of them I flashed on the image of the president of the AV club with the tape on his 2" thick glasses telling the captain of the wrestling team that he couldn't sit there. I should have thanked you guys for the free laugh. It still gives me a chuckle,
Had seen the photos of your new home, and tonight watched your match against the Rev's on TV. When it first opened I saw a few headlines that weren't giving the place positive reviews......but it looked good on TV and seemed to have a great atmosphere. Congrat's on the new home
