And now we have arrived in must win territory.

If we can't beat San Jose, we can't beat anybody so essentially yes, must-win. A shame for Altidore to get himself suspended for this, what a bonehead move. Hopefully we have a full squad for the Montreal game.

Poor all around. Fortunate to even get a point.

Janson was quality though. He's done more for us in 60 odd minutes than Aketxe did all season.

This is totally on Vanney. We're not in a position to be resting players, that luxury is gone. This is especially true when we were already short-handed as it is. That was a must-win, especially with Montreal and Philly having already won. Stupid move. If he wanted to rest Gio, get a two or three-goal lead, then rest him when the points are in the bag.

We're going to need about 20 points in our final 10 games to make the playoffs.

The hopes of sneaking into the playoffs are pretty much done the way I see it, we need to go on a great run which based on what we seen all season with form, injuries and suspensions doesn't look likely to happen and since we would need to leap frog a few teams we need a lot of results to go our way. Nothing I love more then to be proved wrong about this but this squad has had a huge hangover from success of last season,.

While they are clearly not mathematically eliminated I think we're now in the spot where making the playoffs is more of a hope than a probability.

TFC is nine points behind Montreal with ten games to play. They need to gain 1 ppg over Montreal to catch them. Not impossible with what this team can do but not very likely with what this team has actually been doing. Maybe, maybe if we sweep the two games against Montreal and hope none of the other teams ahead of us go on a tear but I'm not counting on it.

Also factor in that even if Montreal craps out, there will be other teams that will take their place.

Pretty much, this thread in MLS: N&A is worth a sub if you want to follow this on a league wide level.
