Atletico has done really well the last 10 years or so, they are unfortunate to have come up against the some of the best Madrid and Barca sides in history. If they had been playing in another league they probably would have won a lot more. They been able to deal with a lot of turnover and consistently rebuild the team getting the best out of second tier players (Kun, Forlan, Falcao, Costa, Griezman). Good chance any of those players could have come here, pushed Benz out, and won some CL.
What did Tebas say exactly? Could you plz provide a reliable English link? Thanks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apparently Barcelona (Bartemou) and PSG (Khaliefi) met in Madrid today to discuss Rabiot and Demeble. I actually want them to get Rabiot (whom I rate a lot) because he and his mom might cause issues there. That also leaves them out of any potential Pogba transfer next summer which I hope we pounce on. Pogba seems to have figured it out and would keep our midfield at the top of the game with Luka fading eventually. Sadly I see us losing out on him against PSG.

Imagine having the reputation Serie A has, all the scandals, all the problems, and feeling hurt because of being called a "trickster" .
To be fair, the wages are probably different, plus Real Madrid also has a wildly successfull basketball team and a huge organizational structure behind it. Atleti put all their eggs in that basket.
I think our net spend on transfers since that 2014 is closer to 40mm, I manually calculated it a couple weeks ago and seen numbers reported which are roughly equal to what I came up with. I think that graphic is off.
Just before k.o. at the Benito Villamarín tonight. Amazing atmosphere for the first Betis game of 2018/19. Had turned to whistles by full time though... (📹: @sidlowe) pic.twitter.com/A19LnqxxAU— The Spanish Football Podcast (@tsf_podcast) August 17, 2018 Look at that atmosphere @ Betis. Best league in the world
If I was a Betis fan, turned out that sort of atmosphere for the team and then got bent over and ********ed 0-3 at home. I’d be furious.
I don't like everything Tebas says or does, but I fully agree with his stance on PSG/City and foreign money in general and what it is doing to football.
But but "muh feelings!!". Where you been the last years bro? Playing the victim card is the first or second go-to line of defense these days.
ManagingMadrid says two things: - Their article was not written by a legal expert. - It was written in june 2018. Since then, there was the AC Milan case in which FFP punished them, but CAS overturned the ruling. Some people tried to argue that AC Milan still was in troubles, but in reality: 1/ They didn't do the fire sale of their players that FFP was forcing them to do before CAS broke the sanction. 2/ They did a BIG mercato as if FFP doesn't exist anymore. So yeah, if AC Milan that is in a way, way, way worse position than Juventus gets scot free thanks to CAS, then Juventus are not in troubles at all. Of course Managing Madrid that wants to please butthurt fans about what happened with Ronaldo completely forgets to talk about all that. Making said fans hope that Juventus could get punished in some ways. They didn't even amend the part of their article where it sill says AC Milan is banned from EU competitions. IF MM were serious, they would give all the informations to have an image of the current picture. But for some reasons, they didn't. Next, let's re-publish some old, out of date articles from 5 years ago to try to make a point with out of date arguments.
That WC has made Harry Kane pathetically relying consistently all falling down and wishing for penalties. Dude is beginning to be unlikable with this.
If anyone wants to see how VAR will be used to help barca just watch this PSG match. 1000% goal call backed. Used VAR to find a reason to not give the goal because had the goal counted PSG would be down 2-0. The officials on the field should not be allowed to view video or make a final decision with VAR. The final decision should be decided and dictated to the official on the field by the officials in the VAR viewing room.
Saw that too and it was a complete joke. I knew as soon as it went to VAR the goal was coming back. But hey, VAR is the way forward. Agreed final call should be out of official’s hands.
