He needs to get his paperwork in order, then he'll be a hot commodity. World Cup sucked, transfer window sucked.
The guy has been in Europe for a decade, and he doesn't have his documents in order. I know that the moves interfered, but what an unlucky guy. Two great world cups, and his peak is the Belgian league. Tough shit.
I asked this in the Memo thread but I thought he had submitted his paperwork in Spain and was set? In hindsight not staying that last year in Ajaccio screwed him from having that EU passport after being there 4 full years.
Diego Reyes Oswaldo Alanis Marco Fabian Omar Govea All need to be placed before the transfer window ends.
I think Omar Govea is going to Royal Antwerp of Belgium http://www.marca.com/claro-mx/futbol/mexicanos-mundo/2018/08/14/5b72fccf46163f55118b458b.html
I'm just saying had he stayed in France or Spain after investing all that time prior why not just wait it out a bit longer. Foreigners spots go to strikers and creative attacking players.
Good luck to him! Other: Official! Javier Junyent has signed for 3rd division Spanish club SD Almazan coming from Real Burgos in the same league. 🇪🇸👉🇪🇸 Unfortunately I couldn't find any great pictures of the team nor the player. pic.twitter.com/c19iIVf3z2— Mexican Transfers 🇲🇽 (@MXtransfers) August 16, 2018
Sad transfer market.. unfortunately, I think this next cycle will see a rather weak mexican national team compared to previous generations, I know I sound like a negative nancy but I just don’t see much hope. No exodus of Mexican players going to Europe in recent years, no nada.
I don't think it's ever been an exodus..,,more like a slow trickle. One or two players tend to go each year. I think the bigger issue is not seeing anyone with elite potential.
I agree. The only player I am excited about is Chucky. As we can see Reyes and Fabian cant cut it in Europe. Even Chicharito is a shell and on the decline at West Ham. Jimenez is interesting and Lainez is one for the future but not much in the pipeline. I see the US in a few years kicking our ass with players like Pulisic, Mckennie, and Weah. We just do not have many young players to be excited about at european clubs.
