Question: Has there truly been a team name that hasn't been a rip-off of something or other since the University of California Santa Cruz Banana Slugs?
By original I mean, actually coming up with a nickname, besides just calling yourself, FC, SC, City, United or by copying a name from some foreign club like REAL or INTER. The Miami Beat, while not great, fits the music and lifestyle of South Miami.
