He was speaking at some Kenyan event and said he was the first sitting American president to come from Jenya. Ill find the whole speech.
How? Just pretending you don't understand English? How does being from Italy help you avoid conversations you don't like?
Earlier in my life I felt the same and so do lots of people in Canada. Its a huge problem and the root of so many issues in Canada. Here is the reality that struck me and changed my opinion, to the Italians in Italy I was not Italian. This is true for all other nationalities as well, it's also one of the issue with the existence of multiculturalism in the western world. It weakens our country and stops us from going forward. The outcome is not apparent now but the next few generations will feel the repercussions of the far lefts misjudgments and apologetic nature and political decision making.
Justin Trudeau declared that Canada is the world's first post national state. The only thing that makes Canadians Canadian is love of hockey and taxes. You are Canadian so as long as you can set foot on the territory. There is no Canada and no such thing as a Canadian. Anyone convinced that Canada is anything more than an economic zone is kidding themselves.
tell that to the americans who travel the world and sew a canadian flag on their backpacks because they fear saying they are american
Is this supposed to be an argument? Canada is an insignificant player in global politics. No shit no one cares about Canadians. Also I love the "Canadian back pack" meme. Something often repeated but no one actually does.
nor does Canada claim to be a super power. and I have seen it first hand MANY TIMES the back pack... travelling through Europe..noticed it especially in Greece...
Wow anecdotal evidence. Good job. Still doesn't change the fact that Canada is the world's first post national country as admitted by our premier. Our culture is that there is no culture. Sewing a Canadian flag on your school bag traveling through Germany is evidence of what exactly?
When the Germans see the Canadian flag theres a good chance that the person they meet will be tolerant, polite, not overbearing, and have integrity. even better if you are in Holland... when they find out you are Canadian..they treat you like royalty. culture can be values.. not just we drink tim hortons and drive a Zamboni.
Hey wow congrats you have a reputation for being polite and a pushover. The future will remember you like the ancient Greeks.....NOT! Also the politeness of Canadians is one of the most overrated hoaxes in all of humanity. Canadians are some of the most bitchy, passive aggressive sissies you will ever meet in your life. Just spend a few weeks in Toronto
Canada the Play By Indestructible "Hey man I'm Canadian!" says the Ontarian as he cracks open a Molson. Indian immigrant: "Hey man, me too. I just got here." "Seriously?" "Yes sir." "Put it there pal." Shakes hand* "We Canadian now." Gives Indian immigrant a pat on the back* "Thanks man" the end
multiculturalism isnt the only thing that is contributing to the decay in culture. How many of you have been to Italy lately? Traditions are dying there. Me and my friends were discussing this last week. Italian-Canadians / Italian-Americans work harder to keep up the traditions and culture more so than Italians in Italy. My friend who is sicilian went last year during San Giuseppe and thought he would have Sfingi (kind of like Zeppole for us Calabrese folks) like his mom makes here in Vancouver. He had so much trouble finding it... and he asked his cousins why .. they all said... "ahhh its takes too long" "its too hard to learn" "i dont want to"... etc.
