Anyone got any ideas on how to apply for tickets to this. I don't really fancy Russia or Qatar so I am going to have to get my football fix elsewhere.

The world cup is Brazil last time around was also amazing! How does the ticketing process work?

not sure they even decided on how to sell tickets yet. Don't worry so early. It's the Copa America. Tickets wont disappear as fast as in the World Cup.

I don´t even think the host cities and stadiums were already decided....

For Chile CA 2015 I bought my tickets as soon they became available in January 2015, so do not expect tickets go on sale before November 2018.

I remember the first phase was only available for some credit cards from some Chileneans banks, then some south american banks (Visa/Mastercard) and then the rest. Venue package was possible (that's how I got my finals tickets) and most of the tickets were electronic (so no shipping issues) but I know some people were able to buy/get paper tickets in Chile.

I only went for 3rd/4th place and Finals, the atmosphere was not the same as the WC at all, not many Argentinians in the finals and you know, Chilean fans all they can sing is "Chi Chi Chi, le le le".

I'm keen on going to Brazil for the Copa America also and watch Brazil games. Will it be similar to Chile where there will be a lot of interest in watching the host nation and you need to be quick when the tickets are released? Also when's the best time to book flights so the prices don't hike up to much? Any info will be helpful. Cheers

I don't think flight prices will get hiked-up for the Copa America. Guess it might depend where you are flying-in from but I wouldn't expect the volume of travel from other continents increases noticeably due to the Copa.

However, in 2013 I noticed that hotel prices in Rio were much higher than normal. That was unexpected as it was only the Confederations' Cup. Anyway, I would advise booking your hotel as early as possible if its in Rio or Salvador. Sao Paulo is so big that the Copa should have no real impact on hotel prices or availability.

Anyway, its still very early for this discussion. At this time last year we didn't have a clue what was happening regarding ticket sales for the WC in Russia, and CONMEBOL tends to do things more last-minute than FIFA.

So I see that the venues have been announced. No match schedule as of yet though. Time to resume the Portuguese lessons.

Interested in going to Brazil as well.
But just to the final, and semi.
Would it be impossible to get those two tickets?
Is it first come first serve ? Or like the wc process , lottery?

I just logged in about 8 hours after the portal opened and managed to get:

    - Opening match
    - Brazil Game in Salvador on 18th June
    - C1 (Arg/Uruguay) in Rio on 24th June
    - A1 Quarter Final (Hopefully Brazil)

All fairly easily. No stress. Carted straight away. Payment went straight through (and using AMEX).

All games were available inc. the final (although a Cat 1 ticket).

    I LOVE CONMEBOL!!!!!

I think when payment crash is not your credit card, its the ticket, there is not really in your cart. That its the stressfull part.

I bought my finals like 4 hours after the sales began

I have a feeling the issue is with the 3rd party credit card verification. It needs to load, and it was getting bombarded yesterday. I was only able to get the 3rd party verification thing to pop up 3 times out of maybe 100 attempts. 2 of the times resulted in a failed transaction as I had not contacted my bank. The 3rd time was the charm and I was able to buy 2 finals and 2 Brazil match 3 tickets.

the 100 times i have tried with chrome/IE, i still have not see what the 3D verification looks like on this system (i do know what i looks like when I made payment in the past on other shopping sites).
