It was a remarkable achievement indeed, but it probably won't change anything in minds going with double standards, I'm afraid.

I've been hoping England would lose and still expect Croatia to win tomorrow, but I think I have a better idea now: England reaches the final then loses so badly to France that no one dares leaves their home in an England shirt for 20 years.

Could you imagine if England reached the World Cup final only to get thrashed by France of all countries?

They truly do play our tactics its hilarious, they wont get criticized for it either. They do absolutely fuk all and just hope to nick a goal on set pieces and counters. They did nothing against uruguay either

Maybe mourinho will have success in international game, his tactics are much more successful here then in club football. In club football his tactics arent as effective anymore due to clubs having stacked superteams of attacking talents.

Oh well....everyone here is crying for an attacking coach...maybe jorge jesus? Would probaly be our roberto martinez. Someone else said Jardim is the best portuguese coach and i definately agree, i wish we could get him

Unless you want Pepe playing Left Back in a semi final, you don't want Jorge Jesus near this team

France actually attacked the ball. Portugal passed the ball back, side to side, etc. Portugal didn't start attacking until they were down 2-1. Portugal played like cowards. End of story.

Felaini got owned on the corner. Martinez is an absolute dipshit for leaving Naingollan at home for that douchebag

The way france closed out the game holding possesion taking ball to the corner, our team would never do that. We would just sit back and get molested for the whole of extra time. As shown against iran.

and ya feillani is terrible, dude thinks because he dominated against japan that hes good all of a sudden. Lukaku is pretty awful too, but is good sometimes i guess..

lol what? France was winning. Of course you close out the game by taking the ball to the corner.

Portugal would take the ball to the corner on a 0-0 game just to take the game to PKs. That's how much of a bitch Fernando Santos is.

Also, LMAO about Lukaku. Come on man. You can't be serious....

I said France was able to time waste and close out the game. Not that there was anything wrong with it. I compared it to us who struggle to close out games when we have the lead. Against iran we couldnt even hold ball possesion to time waste when we were 1-0 up with a few mins remaining. BAsically saying we suck....

    Also, regarding Lukaku

Lukaku had an awesome tournament. Time will tell if he builds on it but he's still only 25

If France wins the World Cup it will make Portugal's win against them on home soil in the Euro Final look even better.

France played well today, I think they have the minerals to go all the way. I would prefer for Croatia to win it all though

I can't stand France. In the hierarchy of hate they're in between Brasil and Italy for me.

Euro 2000 killed me as a kid and Germany 2006 wasn't much better. We always beat england so no point in hating them.

I don't want to see any of these teams win but i just default to France because i would hate seeing Croatia beat us to a star and when it comes to England, well......I just like seeing them suffer. I don't know what it is.

In all honesty its quite hilarious that England only has one star all the way from the stone ages. They have always had the resources to make the best footballers but it hasn't really worked out enough to win another world cup.

They are dangerously too close right now though. I'd rather have croatia win today because i think they are less likely to pull off a win against France.

I don't want France getting to two before we get one.

*This* england sqaud, to me, is very likable. They're young, Kane is an absolute beast and so is Stones. Lingard, Sterling and Rashford (even tho he's not playing as much) are all awesome to watch. The one guy that gets on my nerves is Alli.

But I think it's pretty hilarious that all those 2000s teams with Gerrard and Lampard and Rooney didn't win crap, and the first tournament without those anointed stars they have their best showing since 1990.

There was a blatant foul in the last play of the first half. Crotian player (I think it was Lovren) was held and brought down in the box due to shirt tugging. Ref didn't call it

    You're right.

And rebic and lovren should be on yellows already too.

This Turkish ref is always bad.

Not sure why he keeps getting called for big games.

But as for England, theyre looking dangerous. Again a team that isnt afraid to defend but then is quick on the counter, much like France.

And its a team that underwent a rejuvenation. Something we need.
