I saw nothing in the three group stage games this year that made me think we would have walked through Russia then Croatia then England.

That's not to say they are world beaters. We played like crap.

    Agree. Santos has to go.

I think Portugal not winning the game against Iran had more to do with Ronaldo missing his pk, and insisting on taking every single free kicks (in spite of Raphael Guerreiro being better at it) than the refs decisions.

I highly doubt the federation is even remotely thinking about replacing him. Nonetheless, he's no longer untouchable. He's lost much of his credit over the past few weeks and his work has been under some criticizing, something unthinkable just a few months ago.
Had Portugal been eliminated by the eventual winner, he would have an excuse but as know now it's far from being the case. I'll blame the counter-performance on fatigue, but if Portugal fails to perform in the upcoming games some heads are going to roll.

Yea they don't have the balls. They're Portuguese No guts.

World Cup climes every 4 years and you're wasting away Ronaldos prime years calling up scrubs and leaving potential playmakers at home.

Also, playing tactically scared with no attack is pathetic and is what Santos made this team.

It's crazy how we are on the same page.

Losing to a snowflake team like Uruguay is just unforgivable. We got beat by a bunch of emotional cry babies. I'm already getting S**T for it. Thanks, Santos.

Seeing England, Croatia, Belgium & France as the last four in this tournament just shows how wide open it was and we blew it hardcore.

I'm sure Germany will blow it again in the group stages and Spain will make an early exit at the next tournament! No worries, guys! We stand a better chance at EURO 2020 and/or Qatar!

    Fools.

Russia would not have played super defensive against us like they did against Spain. It would have been an open game and Russia would have probably lost.

Croatia and England have had it easy. Who have they faced? lol

Their toughest competition until the final will be each other. They both got a limo ride to the semi finals.

We blew our greatest chance. I need a drink... We need to develop a team that’s real world beater next World Cup. It’s the only way now.

Santos is one of the highest paid coaches now ever since Gomes re-structured his contract. Such a stupid decision when you consider how often older coaches go senile.

Andre VIllas Boas would flourish with the national team. We should have just snatched him up when he said he wanted to take a break from managing clubs (I think that was him trying to send a clue to the national team)

Moly shizz! Three of my picks are in the f4. Go Croatia!

I think the Cro/Eng game will likely go to pks and France beats Bel 2-0. France might feel the pressure, they were the best team at the euros (lost to us) and look good here but man if they lose... Heads will roll!

Portugal is amazing. They beat two of the four semi finalists of the world cup en route to winning euro 2016.

Before today's game I'm predicting France vs Croatia in the final.

    Hazard with an open shot

Belgium slight underdog, smart money was on them

France with the best chances so far . Hazard holding on to the ball way too much.

If the final is France Croatia, what does it say about the usual narrative of portugal having had the easiest run to win euro 16

France with 11 players in their half. They learned from us and are about to go to the final. Belgium looks out of ideas.
