We have two CAT 1 tickets (next to each other) for match #61 (Belgium-France) in sector A102 row 18. This sector is reserved for Belgian fans by 1895 (Belgian fan association). We're looking to swap tickets with other Belgian fans who have more central sectors (C105 through C110 and A104 through A110) and want to be seated with the hardcore Belgian fans instead. Message me if interested!
Are you sure that scanner stops you from getting kicked out of the queue? I feel it's not possible. Can someone confirm if it indeed stops you from getting kicked out?
There is no way to know for sure what the individual person at the ticket centre will do, but I (the applicant) picked up tickets at two of them just by showing FANID, passport and confirmation number. I had my credit card with me, but they did not ask for it. That was my experience. Obviously, it’s be ideal if you could borrow the credit card for your trip, but that may not be possible. If asked at the counter, you could perhaps say you lost it that morning and look very worried and distraught. My personal experience with the ‘bureaucracy’ at the ticket centers was very positive (and in stark contrast to previous encounters with government bureaucracy in Russia — and many other countries as well!). Good luck. Enjoy the match!
The hours are posted on the FIFA site. I picked up tickets at the airport and at a ticket centre on game day. It’s also possible to pick up at the stadium itself ... but, depending on who you talk to at the center, they may restrict this to tickets bought online that day. (This happened to us once, but friends were successful. YMMV.)
Some are wrong though. St Pete one showed that it closes at 21:00, I was there at 20:03 and they wouldn't let me and a few other miserable people in because they close at 20:00.
This is useful info. In my experience over many years (going back to the Bayern-Red Star semifinal in 1991) buying tickets outside stadiums, you’ll find people paying way over FV, and some folks paying FV (sometimes less) at big events on match day. It pays to be diligent (and polite). Buying singles is obviously easiest. (Side note, based only on personal experience: If you are female, or have a female friend buy — you might have marginally better luck.)
Is it possible they have closed down 62 online and are only going to sell it on the ground in Moscow from tomorrow? It would make sense with so many English on their way.
Sorry to hear this. The way I see it: there is little chance they will be open later than the posted time. When we told the story’s about being unsuccessful at the ticket center at Spartak, one guy we met in a bar said he was successful by going out to the airport. Not sure if he was just yanking our chain or not (the dude was a bit obnoxious, and more than a bit drunk), but if worse comes to worse, that option might be worth trying for some.
Friend sold his 4 world cup finals tickets on viagogo... he netted $4k each, it cost the buyer around $5k after fees. 2 delivered in Russia, 1 in Dubai, and 1 in Brazil.... they were also category 1 tickets but realistically looked like category 2 (corner and 2nd level).... so yes people do pay these prices
Guys I was able to out my tickets for France Belgium back to resell. At first I thought I an getting 90% back for sure.. but now I am logged it and I can Still see and recover tickets? This means I can Get stucked in the middle?! What a disgrace EUropean fans are though not buying all the tickets from Fifa website..
No this is not the case at all. The best explanation is as you say st the end, Moscow is the far larger city. Leading up to the WC, getting the Moscow semi was extremely difficult while the SP semi was relatively easy to get. The SP was easier to get than games such as Argentina vs Iceland and Germany vs Mexico...which were in Moscow. M7 was tough because it was in a smaller stadium but theres no reason M11 shouldve been more coveted than a semi final match. Demand for the Moscow semi isn't exceptional. In fact, it's proving much easier to get than every other game in Moscow so far which can be explained by a few factors. Fans are price sensitive and are unwilling to shell out $285-$750 for a semi final. Croatian and English fans have travelled extremely poorly and there are few signs that this is changing. We've heard a lot of chatter about loads of English flying in but they simply aren't here and didn't plan to come here even though they knew 2 weeks ago there was a good shot they'd play in Moscow on July 11. Anecdotally, there are few English walking the streets of Moscow these days and I don't want to hear anything about them flying in the day before the game. Every single European team that has played in Moscow except for Poland and Portugal has had a very visible presence in the city before the game. That's not the case for England at the moment and wasn't so last week leading up to the Colombia game.
They are going for under face value all over the place. I imagine they will go down even further tomorrow.
I put a cat 2 for Fra v Bel for resale today at a centre in St P. There appear to be no cat 2 for sale on FIFA site now, only cat 1. In my FIFA account it still says for resale as the status. I don't know whether it has sold or not or there is a time lag between the resale occurring and the system showing that a payment is processing/the ticket was resold. any ideas?
I am Brazilian and arrived with family today in Saint Petersburg but we are not going to SF anymore. So, I'm selling my 4 tickets (seats together) CAT2 Match 61, Section D215, Row 20. FV. $480. If interested, please contact PM or reply Cash or PayPal. Thanks.
Instant. Print it before flying into Russia (you get approval email instantly) and then actual fan ID card at the airport.
Plus the English couldn't dare to party like they did at home, the Russian could have them all locked up, so they are staying home. Any games with South American team, most likely it will be a sold out as they are the most passionate fan I know
